The vacuum does not have much power. It will take up sand but very slowly. Maybe something wrong with the unit?

Not much power is generated by the tiny motor in...
Not much power is generated by the tiny motor in this tool. It struggles to pick up a small amount of sand/grit that collects in a corner of the pool. It will not pick up even the smallest leaf that makes its way to the pool bottom.Disappointing expenditure.
