I purchased this unit last year. It seldom run except to blow off saw dust and pin nails. Please verify serial number to verify purchase in Hutto Tx.

Purchased at PSL store 6934 South, Very Helpful staff, answered all my novice questions for 1st time Air Compressor user. Bought Porter-Cable 6 Gallon tank with 3 nailer’s 18, 16, & 23 pin. 1st KIT & TANK: Opened and actually read instructions, set it up with no problem. Bought pins/nails and commenced to use on scrap wood, the 3 piece kit is great for home user. EXTREMLY loud and vibrated like the dickens, moved a lot on the pads, at end of run up to 150psi had loud disturbing metal clanging until it shut off. Good pressure for blowing. Left it on and it cycled frequently. Next day set it up, ran it to 150psi sprayed soap solution on all the connectors and found lots of bubbles from the main pump to tank connection. Packaged it up, had a wonderful lass at returns allow me to just switch the tank and keep the nailers. Couplings very hard to use requires the tank to be up against something while using both hands to couple hose. 2nd TANK: Returned, set it up and used soap found air bubbles at exhaust drain connection very minimal. Wrapped it with plumbers tape and it seemed ok. No bubbles at main connect. Not as loud and did not vibrate/walk the floor at all. Held pressure, turned it off for the night. Next morning completely void of air pressure. (I wanted to see if there was an over night leak-YES there was) Manual says to drain tank if not used. At full 150 psi used soapy H2O again and it leaks at the main connection. Just like the 1st tank. However it does NOT cycle frequently. Couplings are remarkably easy to use, not like 1st Tank. RESULTS: ? Retun it for another try, or keep it with minor leak and use it as is! Not a contractor just home owner with occasional wood working projects. Wife uses it to blow out vacuum. I use it extensively for computer dust removal. I do like the nailers. It cycles quickly from empty, keep it off until wife or I need it.

Ive used this little compressor for 7 years. It work flawlessly. From building decks to interior trim it gets it done and super portable.

I bought this compressor about two years ago. I seldom use it as I have a larger compressor in my basement. I wanted a second one for inflating tires, using my nailer away from home, etc. it worked great... for two years (probably 5-10 hours total use). The piston shot up through the top of the unit while I was using it! It was cheap at $99 so I guess I got what I paid for, but I expected more from Porter Cable.

I just bought and did run without using tools yet. No air leaking, seems fine so far. To clarify another review...I do want to say this tank was manufactured in 2020. The date to remove from service is 2013 as per the warning label.

I purchased this in Dec 2020 and immediately read the manual including a WARNING: RISK OF BURSTING stating "your compressor air tank must be removed from service by the end of the year shown on your tank warning label". The label is dated "2020" giving me less than a month to use this according to the manual. Note: manual was copyrighted in 2014, implying the tanks are good for 6 years. I am taking it back to the nearby HD ASAP, expecting to exchange for an entirely different portable compressor.

Been using over a year now after moving to a new house. This set helped build a lawn shed - and a Patio roof - and currently over half way thru wrapping the (11) windows inside with Hemloc wood trim. Really loving the 16 gage 2 1/2" finish nailer right now. Makes you ambidextrous - actually quieter than hammering easier to set a piece of trim. Fill up compressor in the garage and unplug it - bring it inside the house - easily nails up a complete window trim set without needing to refill the air.
