Hi Wayno, you can use any brand as long as it is within the specific size requirements for each nailer
if the compressor is running constantly this will cause overheating. one cause of this is that the unit is struggling to keep up with air pressure demand (equipment requires a larger air supply). All compressors will generate high heat while they are running but they should cycle off to allow the unit to cool
