How good is this compressor for spray painting and what sprayer would you recommend for the compressor?

I wouldn't recommend this for painting. And the only reason would be the tank volume. The compressor would be running continuously.

if the compressor is running constantly this will cause overheating. one cause of this is that the unit is struggling to keep up with air pressure demand (equipment requires a larger air supply). All compressors will generate high heat while they are running but they should cycle off to allow the unit to cool

How much would a used air compressor w/ hose and pneumatic brad nailer be worth?

This really depends on a number of variables including age, size, condition and if you are talking about a small 5 gal compressor and nailer I would say it still depends but probably $25-$30

0.6 millibars = 87.0226 psi (assuming 1 millibar = 145 psi) BTW there are online calculators for this. So yes it should reach 1 mba.

I really like it so far. This is a great deal for the price! This is my second Porter-Cable 6 gal compressor, I used the first one for over 8 years before the regulator went out. So far so good with this one, but my one complaint is the gauge assembly is attached to the main body by only a threaded pipe, and the whole gauge/air outlet assembly turns side to side with the hose when I move the hose side to side. My last one did not do that and I am concerned that the pipe joint will eventually leak with this assembly moving with the hose every time. That is why the 4 instead of the 5 rating. We will see.

I needed a compressor that is quick, lightweight for portability, and most importantly can do the job - mostly nailers/staplers and air for various inflation jobs. All this with a small profile for minimal storage. This compressor fills all the boxes. At ~32 lbs its not a struggle to carry it up 3 flights of stairs and the handle is conveniently located to minimize bumping into your leg. The compressor reaches its max 150 PSI pressure in only a few mins and recharges quickly. It is small enough that it fits conveniently into my small car trunk leaving adequate room for additional tools and my tool box. Also small enough to occupy minimum storage space in the garage. At $99.00 at Home Depot (Compressor only), this machine is reasonably priced considering it packs a big punch. Only ran it for a few weeks, no negatives as yet, except it is relatively noisy, especially indoors.

product was tested and functional. Have an issue though: I ordered this online and received a very disappointing package. See pictures. It makes me wonder if this is a new packaging trend of Porter Cable &/or HD for brand new items. I sent emails to HD customer service (homedepotcustomercare@email.homedepot.com) and followed up twice but all remained unanswered. Courtesy of a reply should have been nice, explaining shabbiness.

Hi JunB
We appreciate your feedback on the C2002 and are sorry to hear about the issue you are having with the packaging. This is not how the product is shipped out from our distribution centers. Everything is brand new even the boxes they are sent out in. We are sorry the packaging looks rough but are glad to hear the compressor is running as it should. Please email me at wecare@sbdinc.com and reference case #11945647 if you have any further questions or concerns.
Thank you

Tank leaked on first go
When I opened the box it looked like there was a burr where the hose connected to the tank. I wiped it off, took it out of the box and turned it on. You could hear air leaking at the tank connection. Needless to say it never got any pressure after a few minutes. Very disappointed.

Forgotten but effective
Our staple gun wasn’t included in the package at all. Tried contacting our local Home Depot by phone and they didn’t seem to care (COVID was preventing us from going in because we didn’t feel like waiting in line forever). The nail guns we got work well and the compressor does what it’s supposed to. It is loud and it’s runtime is short before it has to refill but that’s expected with a smaller tank. I would but again if I got everything I was supposed in the next box.

I am building a shed and possible to finish the basement. Have no any experience on nail gun and compressor. I need the compressor to be portable and use extension cord, since the shed locates far away from house. Got the first compressor with wheels from Menards. It draw too much current and cause my home in the dark (trips the breaker). After checking online, realize some compressor does cause this issue. Return that one and get this one. Works great with long extension cord for framing the shed (3", 2" nails). Great one for the job site.
