Q:Will this stapler go through very thin aluminum in to plywood

    Answer This Question

    A:  Yes it will

    by|May 23, 2022

A:  Of course it depends on the length of the staples you choose, but it will definitely go through the aluminum and the plywood both if the staples are long enough. I really like this stapler.

              Poor quality
Bought as part of a compressor combo, and got about 50 staples thought it before it wit firing. Cannot get the 9R201556 replacement part either. Sold out for a reason I'm guessing. As always, buy quality tools, or buty them twice... This piece is critical to operation, and should not be plastic...

Hi- I am sorry to hear of the issue you are having with your Pneumatic 18-Gauge 3/8 in. Crown Stapler. The TSO56 Stapler uses TRA700 series 1/4"-9/16" staples.

Great tool used it to staple plastic to wood on green house. This was my first time using the tool it was great faster then a hand stapler. The staples had no trouble going through the fold plastic. The safety switch is by the trigger which makes it easier to operate. It is also a like tool to handle . I would recommend this staple gun tool to my friends. I give a five star.

This stapler works very well. It's recommended to run it at 80 -100 psi. I set the regulated pressure at 90 psi and drove a 9/16" x 3/8" crown staple all the way home in a piece of 3/4" plywood. Used it to reinstall padding and carpet in my utility closet. Worked perfectly. Powerful, light weight and comfortable handling. Great for home and hobby projects.

                    FANTASTIC STAPLER!!
My project was covering a 660 sq. ft. by 10' wall high shop with vapor barrier. I stapled 2 layers of 30# felt paper and then used one layer of house wrap on top of that. I started stapling the felt paper with a hand stapler. The exterior walls used 5/8" plywood for sheathing. After having to hammer every other staple flush on one section of the wall, I decided to upgrade to a hammer type stapler. I decided to go with the red and grey lightling bolt brand's hammer stapler. I did so because I am a Milwaukee tool user and believer of the quality of their products. Unfortunately, sometimes the old adage of sticking to one thing and do it right is good to live by Milwaukee. That hammer tacker wans't your their finest moment. I saw the Porter Cable pneumatic stapler and decided to go with it. I was so glad that I did!! Now remember, this was going to bemy third tool that used in finishing up the vapor barrier so I was a bit skeptical. I was truly amazed how much strength this stapler has. Yes, its pneumatic so the only real fuss was having to contend with the air hose, which is common to any air tool. Outside of the air hose issue, this tool was EXCELLENT! I would really recommend this Porter Cable stapler to anyone that will be doing lots of stapling. I had no jams and every stapler went in flush! No having to go back and hammer shallow staples! Granted, I did go through two 5000 count boxes and that to me was proof enough that this stapler is tough to do any job! If you can relate to any of the issues I have written about and you're looking for a good stapler, don't look any further. Get this one! You'll be glad you did.

                      Stopped working on first project
Like many others, got this as a part of a compressor combo. Used it this weekend on the first project, at first it worked great. About 100 staples in, stopped functioning. Very dissatisfied with it, all our other porter cable nailers have performed well.
