Questions & Answers

Can this be installed without the Sunday newspaper holder? Will the brackets mount to the back of actual mailbox?

Asked by: Gigi
You must use the Sunday newspaper tube holder to mount the mailbox, if you do not want the Sunday newspaper tube holder then you need to purchase model "Cape Charles 1812 Mailbox" which has NO Sunday newspaper tube holder, unfortunately Home Depot does not carry this model. http://www.mailproducts.com/PDF/Instructions/1812-1001.pdf

Customer Reviews

1812 Beaumont 72 in. Plastic White Mailbox with Lantern Post is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from This sucks There is no base or instructions on how to put it together. No instructions for electrical (as i ordered it becauase i thought it was solar powered). How am i supposed to put it in the ground?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is nice looking but a bit over priced. I have not installed this mail box yet. I do like it and can't wait to set it up. The instructions are not detailed. There are some extentions at the bottom of the pole that I don't know what they are for and the instructions do not say. Also there is not a hole in the pole to run the electric line for the light and the instructions does not say how to run the electric through it.
