NO. You have to tip it to drain the oil.

Can the handle be made lower

The only way you could make this handle lower would be to drill more holes. It isn't made to be adjustable.

YES IT COMES IN A BOX. YOU HAVE TO UNFOLD THE HANDLE AND ATTACH IT. BUT MOST EVERYTHING ELSE IS ALREADY TOGETHER.

I’ve only used this about 4 times. Now it won’t start. Runs for about 3 seconds. Doesn’t have the typical looking bowl so I’m trying to figure out where it is.

Not Impressed
Just purchased this from my local box store to replace my other mower that was 10 years old. The mower came packaged nice and neat and was easy to put together. When I went to add oil I discovered that you need a hand the size of a 3yo to gain access to the oil fill cap. (See photo) The only way to remove the cover was with a screwdriver. Next was the side discharge attachment. A flimsy plastic attachment that when attached blows the grass almost straight down thus plugging up the discharge opening (See photo) Runs well, started on the second pull but a poorly designed unit. I have a large yard and only use this to trim around flowerbeds where my zero turn won't fit. Not the first poulan product that I have owned. No issues with the other products but I couldn't recommend this mower to a friend.

Decent mower for the price
I've had mine for a couple of years...my grown children used it between their homes more than I did as I moved to a location that did the yard work for me but now I get to use it myself. The only issues I see is that the oil is in a location that is hard to check and the pull string got stuck on me once. One good frustrated kick seemed to right the situation (not highly recommended or thought through but it worked). The only thing I have to do this summer is change the blade so we will see how it goes after that is done. All in all its survived 4 summers and three households so I'm not going to complain.

Poor Side Discharge Design
Bought the mower last fall for this year...used it 3 times... kept losing the side discharge deflector... now i don’t have to worry anymore...it popped off...went under the mower...and viola... shredded plastic .... And you don’t even have a replacement part listed anywhere....

Disappointed, Week2 Planned Obsolescence
Ive had this mower for a couple of years, purchased from a regional department store to replace an old mower. The second time i ran it, the bolts for the handle fell off. We have a large yard with very few obstructions, and after caring for the blade and the equipment. After two years its held up by tape, the blade is so inefficient that Im forced to do constant adjustments- and they arent as easy as your advertisments and website claim. The gasoline consumption, surely related to blade quality, hp, and awful placement of the catcher, literally covering my lawn, sidewalk, and street with more weeds and clumps of grass is a nightmare. I echo the previous reviewer who mentioned the non-user friendly oil cap, and the difficulty of its removal due to obstruction and inefficient and frustrating placement. 4/10. Dont get this

Good features, not so good assembly instructions
After many years of service our old electric mower finally died. We decided on a gas powered mower with mulching capability and an easy start. This one seems perfect, but the assembly instructions were not great. We looked on the Poulan website for a tutorial, but none is available. Even YouTube is lacking in how to set-up this mower. And finally, there is no way, aside from posting a review, to provide feedback to Poulan that a tutorial video would be appreciated. I know everyone thinks this should be an easy thing to do, but not for someone who's only used electric mowers in the past.

Good luck finding parts info
The owners manual tells you how often to change oil and plug but fails to state what type/size. My old Craftsman mower had all that info clearly displayed on a sticker on the mower. Normally I’d just remove the spark plug to get the numbers but my standard spark plug wrench is too big, plug is seated too deep to reach with other tools. Going to store to look around for right tool during pandemic involves the whole drill of masking up, etc, and doing it again to go back for the spark plug. Still waiting to hear back from Poulan “Talk to the expert” online. Posted my questions 2 hours ago. Tried 800#, was clearly going to be on hold for a long time. Please put basic info about parts in manual, under specifications on your website, and on body of mower. I’ve wasted a few hours researching various sites just to get a spark plug number.

Big disappointment
The engine crapped out after one year. Better to go for quality.

frustrated
Bought last year used one time, put away for winter. Went to mow my lawn for the first time this spring will not start. 60 pounds of comphression. I should not have to clean the carb, check for comphression it has less that 1 hr of use time. Will never buy poulan again. First time I have ever written a review.

Reliable mower, but lacks power (Poor mulching)
I'm about to start my 4th summer with this mower on a small yard. It's been reliable: that part gets 5 stars (make sure you follow the maintenance schedule!), but it's very underpowered. I had to ditch the mulching cover (mulching cover prevents grass from shooting out, and rather keeps it under the mower to get chopped up) because the mower would bog down and get clogged up. This was on DRY grass - not wet. Just doesn't have enough guts to mulch. And if you let your grass get too long AT ALL (even by a couple inches), I've found I can only cut half a row at once, or it bogs down. Even while spraying the grass out (no mulching cover). I'd recommend buying a more powerful mower if your yard is bigger than about 1000sq ft. But if you have a tiny yard, and don't need to mulch - it has been reliable for me. And I'm a bit rough on it.
