That depends on the efficiency which can vary from 50% to 98%. The formula is power output divided by the input DC voltage to get the input DC amps at 100% efficiency. If the inverter is 80% efficient, then divide the DC amps by .8 Ohms law is V=IR and P=AV

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pure sine inverter. We installed this unit in a Freightliner Cascadia. So far the unit has worked well. It will run didital equipment that a standard induced wave inverter would not allow to turn on. Once turned on 20 days ago the unit has been on continually, this is why we invested the extra money in a high quality unit. The only slight drawback is it's large size but if the unit continues to perform well it will be worth it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from don't handle a freezer If the build in cooler wants to start, (small freezer its plugged in) the inverter just buzz and won't turn back on.
