What is the actual measured AC voltage value using a true rms electric meter? I need an actual m...

They're typically 115 to 120 Volts, it can vary a bit depending on the unit. Voltage regulation is done by varying the dead time of the output, and the feedback measurement is not true RMS, but AC average, so the Voltage will droop a bit as the dead time is reduced when measured on a true RMS meter, but it will stay nearly constant when measured on an AC averaging meter. Most non true RMS meters are AC averaging, unless it's a really cheap one in which case it probably measures the peak of the AC signal. Do you need exact constant Voltage, but not necessarily true sine output? Something that has a fixed duty cycle output and does the Voltage regulation on the DC-DC converter stage would work, but those are hard to find. The older bigger AIMS units were like that. You could adjust the internal Voltage to exactly what you wanted too. You'll probably have to go with some expensive pure sine unit like a Samlex or such to get a precision regulated output.

what size cables are needed from battery to inverter

For the PW2300-12 you should use a minimum of 2 gauge cable. 2 gauge can be used up to 12 feet before you should get thicker cables.

What comes in the box? Does it have all external cables needed?

What will I use watt for deep freeze box

Answers

I don't understand the question. If you want to know how many watts your freezer needs to run you'll have to look on the freezer. It should be on the back side or possibly on a label inside the freezer.

Can this be used in a boat?

What does the ac sine wave look like? Is it full of hash or pure sine wave?

Asked by RTH August 18, 2019

I'm pretty sure it is a 3 step square wave. The AC output Voltage is regulated by reducing the middle 0 Volt step. With low battery Voltage and high load it will get closer to a (2 step) square wave. Most inverters are like this. The only difference is how close to a square wave the output is allowed to go. A square wave makes motors run hot (less efficiently) and could even cause damage over time. Basically the current drawn near the edges of a square wave are wasted by motor loads. I know that the bigger 3500W and 6000W Power Bright inverter models have fixed .75 duty cycle 3 step square wave output, but they don't have Voltage regulator so the Voltage drops under load.

Is this a pure sine wave inverter?

Power Bright 2300 - Easy Portable Power
I bought this inverter to provide instant portable power to supply a fireplace fan and portable heaters. After connecting and testing this set-up, it worked extremely well. The inverter was capable of supplying a 1350 watt heater for short durations and was was capable of powering a fireplace blower fan for > 8 hours. This product worked well.

Second one I buy for our travel trailers. Love the remote control for flexible mounting locations. Input voltage readout is not accurate but it’s buried in the cargo bay any way. Wife loves the ability to use the microwave and TV when boondocking.
