Will this jack lift Chevy Tahoe or 2500 Silverado

Asked by: Tloe
I don’t really know I’ve never tried using it on anything other than my motorcycle and riding lawnmower and it works great on that stuff but I think it will it’s a very sturdy jack and plus it’s a 2 ton jack so I don’t see any problem with it at all I’m very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone else

So if I have a vehicle that weighs around 5,000 lbs would I be able to lift either end or either ...

So if I have a vehicle that weighs around 5,000 lbs would I be able to lift either end or either side since I'm not lifting the entire vehicle? or I would require a 3 ton floor jack? e.g. if I place a 4x4 under the frame rail on one side of a ~5,000 lb SUV and placed the jack in the center of the 4x4 and near center of the vehicle, how much weight is being lifted? Front and rear of the same vehicle I think the front with the front with the engine would be heavier than the rear of the vehicle, how much weight am I lifting e.g. if I lift up the the entire front axle? Most likely I would only be lifting temporarily until jack stand could be installed, however I'm wondering what sort of weight limit there is
Asked by: homedeopotcustomer
If you have public truck scales near you, you can find out what each end of your vehicle weighs. When loaded down with my camper, my small truck's weight came to 4750 pounds, with 2700 on the rear axle and 2050 on the front. I would feel comfortable lifting either end with a 4000 pound jack.

Can this be used as a motorcycle jack?

Asked by: Murph
Yes you can use it for motorcycles. The round center lifting pad needs to be removed to keep the bike stationary. It comes with a locking bar so the jack doesn't leak down. Used typically as a jack stand. Mine has spots to hook sraps fron the bike or ? To keep the motorcycle stationary so it doesn't fall over.
