        Answer This Question

A:  I don't know for a fact but I don't believe it is fire rating. It is just a plastic wrap that sticks together very well for the purpose of protecting against dust, dirt, bugs, and light damage during transport or storage.

Not worth your money or mine.
This wrap is so thin and cheap that I feel as though I would have been better off buying an equivalent amount of store brand cling film from the dollar store, or just throwing my money into the garbage. The fact that this is advertised as “movers wrap” is a joke. Huge waste of money. I’ve attached a picture of the product after 2 minutes of use. I’ve had to stop no less than 8 times because it would snag on itself and immediately split and tear. Unbelievable.

The wrap was fine. The container made it more difficult to wrap things than it should have been.

The Pratt Retail Specialities Furniture Stretch Wrap is handy for covering furniture and other items and providing protection from damage caused by moving, or just daily use when you need a buffer against abrasions. It could be a little wider, but otherwise, it is a good, stretchable material that creates a secure bond when applied to an object. Then, it easily cuts or tears to complete the wrapping of the object being protected. It is a handy product to have around the house to use for storing items. Wrapping it around a storage box provides protection against unwanted moisture. I also used it to wrap around plastic saw horses when I found they were leaving unsightly marks on painted wood I was working with. The plastic wrapped securely around the saw horse and prevented the painted wood from being damaged.

I use stretch wrap at work all the time and this stuff is not even in the same ball park. First off, it's less than .3 mils thick (28 gauge). A little less thickness than kitchen cling wrap. The "cheap stuff" I use at work is 60 gauge (.6 mils). The good stuff up to 120 gauge( 1.2 mils). This wrap sticks to itself just like any true cling wrap, so you need to be careful or you get a balled up mess. The handles are a joke. I would rather just have the cardboard roll without the little plastic insert handles. You can't apply this stuff with one hand because you need to grab both sides of the roll to have a chance of getting it to reel off correctly. It is probably ok for wrapping stuff that isn't too valuable but I would really think twice about trying to protect good furniture.

This roll of furniture plastic wrap is great. The main feature that I love the most is the plastic grips on each end of the roll. I love these because normally on rolls of plastic you have to let your hands drag on the inside of a cardboard tube, which either hurts your hands or in my case, feels like nails on a chalkboard. The plastic seems tough and I have no complaints.

                Frustrating product
I cannot recommend this terrible product to anyone. Poor manufacturing make it impossible to use as it continually rips and tears. The material is wrinkled and will not reel out as needed. You cannot wrap anything, and it is such a waste of time trying to make it work.

This stretch wrap is much thinner than I'm used to. We moved my son and wrapped his dresser, chest of drawers, etc. We covered everything in moving blankets and towels to protect it, so we used the wrap over the corners of the top, just to help the pads stay in place. Unfortunately, this wrap was tearing and didn't work well. I would recommend you spend a few cents more and buy a slightly heavier, stronger, and more durable wrap.
