Premium Cellulose Blown-In Insulation 25 lbs. (Half Pallet, 20-Pack)

The insulation is great but does not work with Home Depot AttiCat expanding blow-in machine rental. Had to cut bags down the middle and bags did not keep the material tight.

Item was easy to handle and spread evenly. Cost of the product was really cheap compared to others.

Placed online order and picked up next day. Got the free blower rental at the same time and staff was excellent getting order loaded and terms of free rental. Product is messy like all blown in insulation but works as expected.

Having been "attacked" as a kid by fiberglass batting, the biggest and best aspect of this product is how person-friendly it is- absolutely no itching. A regular, cloth mask and basic eye protection complete my protective gear for this job and it all works just fine. The weight and size of the bags are easily managed. The compression of the product is a bit uneven as density of the material varies across each bag. This is a small, but real problem when trying to lay down an even layer. The only problem I had was the condition of nearly half the bags was "rough"- the product was not sealed, but open to the elements. I had to re-bag each of them to transport and protect the product.

Very easy to use blown in cellulose insulation (25 pounds). Will require the use of a blower, but that is easily rentable at the big box store. You will need two people to complete this task. Above our bathroom and attic previously had blown in cellulose, So this was a nice addition to add more R value. Probably a good idea to do this installation in the fall or winter or early spring when the attic temperatures are cooler. I personally haven’t noticed any changes with sound, but it’s never been an issue for us. Can’t go wrong with cellulose!

I can see the benefit of this product. It was not what I thought it would be. It requires equipment that only a professional insulator would have. I have tried searching for equipment to rent; I have noted that only trained personnel should attempt to use this product. That information is included on the label. If I would have known this, I would not have chosen this product.

Received this bag of cellulose insulation packaged in tightly in this plastic wrapping in a rectangular shape. I chose not to use an insulation blowing system for just this one bag of insulation. I wore all the appropriate PPE while using this product even though it wasn't too bad in the air. It was tightly compacted and I just grabbed hunks of it out by hand and worked them between my gloved hands until the pieces were more granular and then tossed the material into areas of my attic that were lacking the proper levels of insulation. This product had a brown color to it were as my current insulation was white because it was some sort of wool insulation. The process was fairly quick and I hope it helps out some with keeping the house insulated better.

Shipped pretty quickly. Great that this is supposed to be more green/Eco-friendly, and it is. You can actually see bits of newspaper in it. Not sure what the rest is, looks kinda like ground up cardboard fibers, label says 100% recycled paper. It is pretty dusty though. And also good to see it's class A fire rating. I used this only on the attic floor, no walls. Can't speak of it's effectiveness and how much it'll settle yet.
