It stopped dehumidifying within a year of purchase. I have filed a claim on warranty. I bought extended 3 year protection plan from home depot. Terrible product. When it worked, it did the job. But can't even last a year.

The dehumidifier is fine - has only had limited use so far. The delivery process was awful. They failed to show for 3 straight days - that they designated - and insisted on mandatory signature upon delivery. I cooked my heels for 3 days and had to go pick it up at the delivery co!

I have had this product running constantly over a month in my basement and so far so good! I haven't touched the settings since I set it up and its been running 24 x 7 for over a month The pump drain tube is long enough and works fine. I looked for something that was ENERGY STAR RATED and this was so hopefully it would make a difference. A lot of other dehumidifiers were rated for lower volume and this was the highest, so I gave it a shot.
Once a vapor barrier is installed my basement crawl space I am sure this wont be working so much. This unit
I has a wall bracket to hang it up or you cant stand it up on the floor with or with out the set of wheels . and it doesn't look so bad either, you can hear it somewhat as the decibels are ok with me for where its being used... Home dept had the best pricing !! thanks HD

When I first started it the humidity was 64 in the house. It took a full day to bring it down to 53. By the end of day 3 it was holding at 41. The real tell was the way 2 doors closed. The last two inches used to be with resistance. Once it was below 45 there was no resistance. Now I just need a safe way to catch the water for plant watering. Don't want to come home and find a container overflowing.

Holy humidity
I have spent a fortune on water proofing my basement. I could not, did not want to spend $2000 on a Santa Fe dehumidifer, which is what the water proofing company sold as their product. I wish i had the money for a whole house Aprilaire system and i will at some point do so, but in the mean time my 2,000sq ft basement has a humidity problem especially in the summers. This unit is the only commerical, easily maneuverable, and energy efficient unit i found that fit what i needed. I got on sale for $750 purchased the 3yr warranty at $130 plus tax got all for right at $900. My unit came with everything, was easy to install, i have a sump pump it drains directly into. I have had no problems with my unit, it works better than any small 70pint unit which is readily available in any store. Its more energy efficient compared to smaller units. My basement was getting up to 80%humid and now it stays at the 50% what i have the unit set to. Only cons is that you can not ventilate the exchanged air like on Santa Fe/Aprilare units, this will make your room temp go up about highest 10degrees. I knew this prior to buying, but for the cheaper price purchased anyway, plus my basement is just for storage. The 2nd con is the programable thermostat is not like i thought it would be. I had a window ac 1x that you could set the time of day you want it to kick on & off & it automatically did it from then on once set...that is not what this does. You can simply set how many hrs you want it to run then it shuts off and you have to manually set each time, so to me its useless because im not running up and down the stairs everyday. I just let it run. Make sure you set it somewhere level or hang level and follow install instructions. Once you take out of the package let unit set for 2hrs or more in position you install before ever turning on so the gases(freon) can settle. Its been a great purchase, i highly recommend if you have a wet, damp, humid basement and have a drain it can flow to & need an immediate fix on a budget and it wont break you on the electric bill.

Very pleased with this unit. My basement is always damp and musty. We occasionally get water during heavy rain. This is one of the few commercial grade units that I found that is wall mountable. Since using, I've noticed the damp musty smell is gone. Humidity level is consistently around 50%. Easy to use - pretty much set and forget. No buckets to empty or drain.

So sad!
This product ran well for about a year but then starting icing up. Called the manufacturer. Can't find a way to get customer service to call me back. Always get a sloppy recording to leave a message and model number. No calls back. At this point I'm very worried that I'm screwed. Paid a lot for the machine.
Buyer beware!

No stars
First it took forever to get here. We got out bill statement first. Then it came without a hose. When we tried to order the hose they don't make replacement parts. Returned it and got a credit. Not our money back.

Step on up!
This is not your average dehumidifier! No sir, step on up to the professional model! After years of having a damp basement I can say this is the work horse of them all. In a matter of days we went from 77-80 percent humidity in our basement to now 47. This thing keeps on chugging, has a built-in pump which we have a line run to a condensate pump which brings the water up and over a wall to our sump pump. Could not be more pleased with a product unless if started to spit money at me. Buy it, buy it now, and thank yourself and me later.
