A: No. Not to my knowledge
A: Thank you for your inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. Use your onw discretion. This item is not designed to have an active handle attached to it.
A: No, it has a thru bolt design to secure it to the door.
A: There is a bolt that holds the two plates together through a central hole. I would think there is a different solution.
A: Thank you for your inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. The inside plate is held in position with a Phillips machine screw. Just back out the scew all the way to pull apart the plates the reinstall on the correct door.
A: As shown in the picture there are two parts to each screw: a bolt and a socket. Only the socket has a Phillips head; the bolt has a blank head and is designed so it won't turn in its plate. Functionally, you can always buy a longer bolt for a thicker door, but of course you will have to match the threads on the socket, and you probably will want one with the same cone-shaped head and made of similar-colored metal (stainless steel would be close to the satin nickel color) But there's also the security issue. This is designed as a pair of plates to cover the hole securely where a door lock used to be installed; if it's important to you that the outside plate cannot be removed easily (for example, to keep someone from opening the door by sticking a finger or screwdriver into the hole and triggering the door latch), then be aware that a substitute (longer) bolt will probably have an ordinary Phillips head rather than a blank head and will not have the squared shank that prevents the bolt from turning in the cover plate on that side, so it will be easy for someone to unscrew from outside. If you have a separate deadbolt lock this may not matter to you.
A: Hello Yes this can be used if you purchase the longer screw that will fit the carriage nut supplied
