Does this work with the Anderson 3000 retractable screen door?

Thank you for your inquiry regarding this item from Prime-Line Products. Because this chain door stop installs at the top of the door, it may pose a problem as there is a bracket that must be attached to the top of the door with two 3/4 inch screws. It appears that the retractable screen rolls up and is concealed in the top header of the door, and if screws are going to be inserted there - there is a good chance you would be screwing right into the screen material and damaging your door. Functional

This product works once installed. The installation instructions could be improved though - add diagrams! I found better instructions for a similar product online at https://www.touchnholddoorclosers.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Wind-Chain-Install-Instructions.pdf. I hope the attached photpgraph also helps

Works but...

Guess I've just had it up to here (back of hand under my chin) with Made in China junk. Chain works and does what it is supposed to do, but I shouldn't have to go back out to my shop to get more screws because the ones they provide are cheap. Stripped out immediately. I guess for three bucks what do you expect, but common, raise the price a dime or so and include some decent fasteners. Everyone will be much happier

DO NOT USE with doors that have the screens rolled up inside!

If you have a door in which the screen rolls up inside - Anderson 3000 series be advised that you CAN NOT put this spring system on it. When you drill holes for installation, you will drill holes in the screen. I learned the hard way. :-( Home Depot said there is no solution to my door swinging open in the wind - other than to make sure it is locked.
