Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nanit did an amazing job with this baby monitor! I am so impressed with all the features and clear picture. The mounting instructions for the camera were easy to understand, and I was able to mount the camera above my daughter’s crib within 15 minutes. I then used my smart phone and installed the Nanit app. The app is very intuitive, and I was impressed by the features. I LOVE the insights tracker!!! We can watch a replay of the day/night and get statistics on our baby’s sleeping patterns. It shows when I lay her in her crib, how long she slept and when i picked her up after her nap/night time sleep. I am working on getting my daughter on a schedule, so seeing how long she is napping and sleeping at night is very helpful. These features are definitely impressive. I used the breathing band with this camera and love it. The band is very easy to put on my 3 month daughter. She didn’t seem to mind wearing the band. I always check on my daughter multiple times during the night to make sure she is breathing, but now I’m able to see that she’s okay via the Nanit app. I’m so grateful to be getting better sleep! So far I have not had any false alarms with the breathing band, and it seems to work well. The picture on my smart phone from the camera is crystal clear. I can zoom in and out on my baby. However, I can’t turn the camera left, right, up or down. I can only zoom in and out on my baby. The picture does capture my baby’s entire crib, so it’s not a deal breaker that I can’t control the camera more. There are 4 red infrared lights that are on when the camera is on. My daughter is small now, but I wonder if she will notice these red lights when she’s older. The one thing the Nanit is missing is a parent unit. I have to leave my smart phone on at all times when my baby is sleeping which really sucks the battery during the day (I can sleep my phone plugged in at night). I wish there was a parent unit so I didn’t have to rely on my smart phone. I think a tablet would be ideal with the Nanit. My favorite features are the breathing band and the insights data. I have definitely been sleeping better now that I’m able to look at the app and see that my baby is breathing. The insights data is incredibly helpful tracking baby’s sleep during the day and at night. I do wish there was a parent unit, and I wish I could control the camera after it was mounted a bit more. Overall, the Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor
    What’s not to love?!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seriously, what’s not to love about this product?! I was able to try out the Nanit Pro as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I’m so grateful. This is so much more than a baby monitor. Of course you can keep an eye on your little one, play audio, and monitor room temperature like a lot of other baby monitors on the market, but it also allows you to track your little one’s breathing, sleep habits, and measure their growth! The sleep tracking has been one of my favorite features, especially with the sleep tips they provide. I can’t tell you how much I love this product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to Stellar Parent Panel for giving us this monitor. The Nanit Baby Monitor Pro surpassed my expectations, having used several different types of audio, video, and app-enabled monitors with four kids. The Nanit had an easy setup and the cord protector/wall guide is extremely clean looking and safe to have next to baby. The monitor provides a clear video stream and I was thrilled that background audio can be toggled in the app (still connected while the screen is off). The app is well designed and feels intuitive. Nice features include an overlay of temperature and humidity. All event recordings are available for review, and intriguingly can be added to a digital scrapbook! I really liked the insights that gave a summary of several metrics including sleep efficiency and the “night in review” fast forward video that shows a timeline and marks movements and visits during the night. I also use the highlights iduring the day to help check when baby last woke up (not just when I heard her) so I can give her appropriate wake windows before putting her down for another nap. The breathing band also worked well; it took a couple tries to position and get the app to recognize it but worked as advertised. At the age of our baby now, it’s not the key feature I am using daily but would with a newborn. Well done Nanit! I haven’t even used all the features yet (like nightlight) but quickly felt like I have been using Nanit all along and wouldn’t want to go without it.
        Smart and Sleek Baby Monitor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using several different baby monitors for my two kids and spending a lot of time scouring websites, blogs and mom groups for the best monitor, I have finally found it. The Nanit Pro Baby Monitor is as close to perfect as it can get. The HD monitor combined with the sleek app and the breathing monitoring technology is a combination that allows both seamless monitoring and peace of mind. To begin, installation and set up was a breeze. The packaging was beautiful and all of the parts were very clearly labeled. In order to give an honest review, I told my husband that I would complete the setup by myself. I was a bit nervous when I saw that installation required power tools, but I was able to follow the easy step-by-step instructions with only a little assistance using a drill (for the first time, I might add!) The included template was very helpful in measuring the correct height for the wall mount as well. The only slight difficulty was getting the cable and cable covers in a straight line down the wall-- this is only noticeable by someone as detail-oriented as my husband! The app setup was also extremely easy and there were many useful videos and other guidance included within the app itself once opened. We were able to add my husband as a "care team member" although it took us a bit to realize he had to pair his phone with the actual camera and the process wasn't as smooth as we would have liked. The camera angle is amazing and gives the clearest, most detailed view of my baby, even in the dark. He loves staring at the camera and smiling, so I get the cutest pictures of him too. I love that the app sends you alerts when there is noise in the baby's crib which let me know that my son is up from his nap. This is especially helpful as I don't usually hear him crying from the other side of the house. The alerts also go to my smart watch which gives me the freedom to move around the house and do chores without being attached to my phone. For constant sound monitoring, the app can also be left on and goes to "night mode" which dims the screen on my smart phone. There are so many cool features included with the app itself. The "insights" feature is useful as it tracks the exact time my baby was put in his crib, fell asleep, woke up, etc. There is also a dashboard which also gives all the details about his day: the amount of time he's in his bed, how much of that time he was asleep, how many naps he took and his last wake up time. A cute time-lapse video summarizes all of the day's activities in the crib with time stamps. I love watching it and being able to look back on past days to see patterns in my son's sleep as well! If you're like me and enjoy tracking all of these details, this camera and associated ap are for you. In my opinion, however, the most important thing that Nanit does is to track his breathing. I have used another biometric monitoring device for both so my children that I really love, so I was skeptical to rely on Nanit's breathing monitoring. However, I have found Nanit's ability to detect my son's respiratory rate to be very accurate, and that gives this pediatric ICU nurse-mamma some much needed peace of mind. I have yet to have a 'false-alarm' as the camera detects when baby is moving or is taken out of the crib. The only downside is that baby must be in the Nanit swaddle for the camera to detect the breathing motion. It is truly a wonderful swaddle that my son happens to love, but I can see how it may not work for all babies. There are other breathing-wear options available in sleep-sack form and a breathing band that goes over pajamas too. These options will be helpful to purchase as baby grows and transitions out of the arms-in swaddled. There are even more features that I am excited to use in the future to help track nighttime sleep. My son currently only sleeps in his crib during the day and is in a bassinet for nighttime. I would recommend parents who are considering this camera to buy the stand mount if they plan to use the camera in multiple different places (or if you don't want the camera to be the centerpiece over your crib.) Overall I have really, really loved the Nanit Pro Baby Monitor. It's the product that I never knew I needed until I had it, and now I can't imagine not using it! This reliable monitor will definitely make the transition easier for me and my baby when we officially move him into his crib. Thank you to Steller Product Testing Panel for giving me this product to use and review. I will truly be recommending this product to my friends and family!
          Smart baby monitor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this baby monitor to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Hanging the camera was super easy! Instructions were very clear and they even provided a level bracket to hang it level precisely. It also came with a measuring tool to properly measure exactly where the cord needed to go I love that the camera allowed me to check on my daughter throughout the night. I didn’t get to use the camera for my new baby because he decided to co-sleep. I put the camera up over my daughters bed instead. The camera even comes with a nightlight and music/white noise. It made it super easy for my daughter to fall asleep. She is 2. I did not get a chance to use the breathing band as my son will only sleep in my arms or my bed. He doesn’t sleep in his crib at all anymore, we co-sleep. The breathing band was too small for my two year old. I loved this camera because the app is right on my phone, meaning I have my phone in my hand at all times, so it made it easy to check on her throughout the night and day at nap time. The app was super easy to install and is very easy to use. My favorite feature is that I can turn the nightlight on through the app on my phone, I use this the most! I also the the insights because it lets me see her whole night of sleep. The best feature is that it lets me know when she falls asleep ! It has been amazing. The only issue I had was setting up the camera to the WiFi. It took about 3 different tries before it finally allowed me to set it up. I love this camera! It has been amazing and everything I could ask for!! I do plan on trying to get my three month old in his own bed and use the breathing band eventually.
            Awesome camera!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with the Nanit Pro Smart Monitor. It was easy to install in the nursery and the app was very easy to set-up. I was SO impressed by the quality of the video, especially at night time. We use it with an iPad designated just for the monitor, and it is still so clear on the bigger screen. It gives me a peace of mind that I could really see my child, all day and night. The app is really cool and I love all the extra features and stats they share, like sleep stats and even sleep tips. The only thing that was strange was the "visits" feature which is supposed to show how many times you "visit" your child. We have been using the monitor for our 2 year old, so we don't go in her room at night but it still said we had a handful of visits. I think it was because she moves a lot in her sleep, so I didn't think much of this. Our newborn baby is still in a bassinet in our room so we haven't tried the monitor or breathing band on them yet. Overall, this is a really great monitor and it gives me peace of mind at night. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor.
              Great HD Baby Monitor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! This baby monitor is sleek and stylish, and it has amazing clarity and features! I was a little reluctant to try a monitor that connects via WiFi, but I am sold after using this for a couple of weeks. I am still stunned by the video quality. The app is really user friendly and easy to use. It’s fun that it saves little short videos of when baby wakes up or when baby is put down to bed. I am also really impressed by the breathing band that was included. We tested it out and wow! It’s so cool that baby’s breathing can be tracked effortlessly. And as a mom, it gives me peace of mind that baby is OK. Honestly, this is probably my favorite feature for the monitor. The insights data is really cool! It gives you a look at baby’s sleep and awake times throughout the night. This includes how long it took baby to fall asleep. So cool!! This was helpful to know that my baby can self soothe and fall asleep on their own without me. I definitely used this feature the most, because it’s just so fun to look at my baby’s little movements and such throughout the night. I definitely recommend! I will also be telling all my new mom friends about this great monitor! I was given this baby monitor to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
The Baby Monitor that Does it All!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first, I was a little skeptical that I would like the Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor as well as the current baby monitor that I was using, but after a few weeks of use, I am sold! In my opinion, the Nanit is unlike any other baby monitor on the market. The Nanit baby monitor includes a high tech camera, a wall mount, a breathing band, and access to the Nanit app. The app made installation of the wall mount and camera extremely easy. There were written directions included in the box, but the app walks you through step-by-step with a video. Once the camera was mounted, I had no problem connecting it to the app following the in-app instructions. The live camera feed through the app provides images in HD and the picture was so much clearer than the other monitor I was using. I think my favorite part about this monitor though is the app. The Nanit app has so many cool features. Every night it monitors your baby’s activity and gives you insight on his sleeping patterns. It also sends you sleep tips to your inbox and automatically captures milestones and first-time moments. You can then send these memories to your friends and family. The other cool feature about this monitor is the breathing band. At first I was a little confused on its use, but again watching the video tutorial through the app cleared everything up. You have the option of using the breathing band that came with the camera if you are not swaddling your baby or you can use one of Nanit’s swaddles if you are swaddling at night. The camera uses advanced technology to monitor your baby’s breathing using the patterns on the breathing band or swaddle. So cool! If it detects your baby is not breathing, it will send an alert to not only your phone but also through the camera in case your network is down. Luckily, we did not use this feature! Other breathing monitors cost as much as this entire monitor so it’s like you’re getting multiple products in one. The camera also has a built-in night light which you can control from the app. In addition, the Nanit customer support team is awesome! I had a couple questions about the product and they got back with me almost immediately. There are only a few things I would change about this monitor: first, I wish the mount didn’t have to be screwed into the wall. It would be nice if they could use some type of adhesive so it could be moved around easily. I do think they have a floor mount you can purchase, which I guess it what you would use if you were traveling or if your baby transitioned to a new room. Also I wish the camera was battery operated instead of having a cord and plug. All in all I was extremely impressed with this monitor and would definitely recommend it. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor!
                  Must have baby camera!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor
                    Peace of mind
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. Overall I really like the Nanit pro. The image quality is great and I love having the ability to zoom up and see my infants breathing even when he’s not wearing the breathing band. I also am pleased with it working so well with my co sleeper beside my bed that is not facing the direction of a normal crib. My only con would be that I had to turn the notifications off and the sensitivity for noise and movement since it is in my room we are in and out of a lot I kept getting notifications but once I fixed that it was great. I also would like there to be an option to purchase a small viewing screen so I could leave it pulled up without using my phone the whole time. Other than those things it is a great monitor
