A: We do not recommend running wires up the back of the panels as there is no space for them. The wires would cause them to bulge causing the panels to bow and result in improper install. You can run wires horizontal along the panels in the voided space.

This makes an excellent choice for slat wall. The wall material and hanging pieces are all high quality. I cannot speak to this vs other brands but I am happy with my choice in brands. After researching the brand options it seems that most companies created proprietary systems that are not interchangeable. I would recommend this system. It was easy to install, looks great, and holds a lot of weight if you follow the instructions for stud mounting.

Great Garage Wall Organization

This wall kit is everything, especially considering it's made of PVC material. It is sturdy and holds the items it was intended for. I can't speak to longevity at this time, but the unit was hung by a contractor and secured very well to studs. I think it helps that the hooks are metal. We also purchased the Husky 6-pc Garage Storage unit. The two items together have turned our garage into a dream space.

Beautiful looking wall to hang all your gear and or tools. Very easy to install. I would recommend installing Proslat with your girlfriend or wifey. My girl came in very handy when installing the "J" Channel. Once the "J" Channel is installed it's definitely a one human operation. took us about an hour to install, easy day. My only complaint is that I feel like the Proslat hooks are a bit pricey. Otherwise I am very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend!

The product was just what I was looking for as part of a garage renovation project. My only complaint is with the enclosed instructions and the website video detailing how to install the unit. What is not clear in either case is the proper overlapping of the individual slats. This is kind of glossed over in both the written and video instructions. After reviewing both, I installed my first unit only to end up with nine slats at the top instead of 10. Everything looked right until I again reviewed the video and instructions and realized I had not overlapped the slats correctly requiring me to remove all but the lowest slat and start over. That added about two hours of unnecessary work. The second unit went up much faster (about 2 hours total) and without problems.

I purchased several charcoal Proslat panels. All were well packaged, in perfect condition, and with no missing parts. These are really nice panels with top quality hooks. The panels themselves are difficult to install, because you have to have them perfectly matched to the studs to attach properly. So, it's best to take your time to be sure they're positioned right. It's also easy to get a panel positioned in the wrong position and recommend using a level to check before screwing on. However, once in place these panels are solid and look great! Love them.
