we needed a new rod, this looked good. the carton arrived in two days, nice. the wrong item was in the box. a call to customer care and we got the correct rod in two more days, good recovery. it arrived in perfect condition and fully assembled. install took 30 seconds. there is a center support to give the middle support, we did not need to use it. the only thing is the diameter of the rod was a tight fit for some curtains. that said, it looks great and we like it.

This is a nice solid tension rod in the brushed steel finish making it quite attractive. To install simple unscrew to just short of the desired length which can be anywhere from 42 inches to 72 inches. Put the rod in place and continue to turn it to tighten/lengthen the rod to a tight and secure fit. Can be used as a shower or bath tub curtain rod among other uses.

This Pulire Brushed Steel Metal Tension Rod does what it is made for. Our old shower curtain rod was getting kind of ratty looking so we replaced it with this one. The brushed stainless finish looks great. It is a 2-piece (section) rod with spring tension adjustability inside, between the sections. It was easy to install, by simply turning to tighten the tension. Took about 2 minutes to replace. It comes with a ceiling mountable hook to support the rod if the ends tend to slide down the walls. We chose not to use it as it would prevent the curtain from opening completely, which is important for older folks or bathing children. We have dropped soffit ceilings over our tub and showers. We do not want the curtain that close to the ceiling. With the lower ceiling it would work OK for the tub, but would require a special, very long curtain for the shower. If the ceiling was 8 or more feet high, it would be near impossible to hang a curtain that high. If slipping becomes a problem, we’ll go back to the one-piece style. We really prefer a one-piece rod with an adjustable end cap, but the price was right on this one, and it requires no cutting to length. The only thing not to like is the small "hump" between the sections. The "hump" can cause the curtain hangers to "catch" there. We have found that roller bearing type hangers eliminate that issue.

This is a great tool free solution to hang curtains in windows or anywhere from 42 to 72 inches in length. The rubber bumpers on the ends do a great job gripping without damaging the surface. I use my downstairs family room as a guest bedroom when family visits because it has a pull out couch. I chose to use this metal tension rod to hang a curtain floor to ceiling to offer guests privacy in my family room when they visit. It works great!

Super simple and easy to use tension rod. Great size adjustability and the brushed steel adds a modern more contemporary look. Ideal for lightweight curtains. I'm using it for holding a variety of shipping stickers on rolls. Easily rolls around the rod and it's not too difficult to remove the used rolls and add new ones. Center hook is provided if you extend it out or have a little heavier item to hang.

I live in a rental so I like to use as many products as I can that won't put holes in the walls. I have been looking for a tension rod to put in my laundry room to hang wet clothes on and store empty hangers. This seemed to fit the bill and when I got the rod it seemed to be of good quality. The issues came when I tried to install it. How hard is it to install a tension rod, right? You twist it to length, push it against the wall and done. Since I had to span 60" and I wasn't quite sure how stiff the spring inside the rod was going to be once I got the rod up I did a test run. Once up, I decided it needed to have more tension on it so I took it down to make it longer and I discovered that it would not stay at the length I twisted it to and the black rubber ends (that were only about 1/16" thick) were marking the walls. You can see in the video that the rod completely unwinds just by holding on to the end of it. One of the rubber ends, that wasn't glued on in the first place, fell off and got lost so I fashioned a rubber end by hot gluing rubber bands to the end. This tension rod does come with screws to screw it into the wall if you want but I don't see the point of buying a tension rod if you are going to screw it into the wall anyway. I finally did get it up and it held up to having a my shirts and t-shirts drying on it without it falling down. I will keep it and use it but in the future I would rather buy a shower curtain tension rod that is much sturdier and has white rubber ends that are thicker and that do not mar the wall.

Falls apart
It didn't hold much weight at all, lost its tension quickly, and the pads that stick to the wall came loose from the bar and left marks on the wall. Would not recommend it to anyone.

This is a nice rod, but at 48 inches expanded, It would not stay on tension alone whilst holding up 1 light blocking panel. However, it has a middle stabilizer hook, which is an open c-hook, and this hook was worth the purchase as I used it on a rod I have extended 97 inches, but couldn't use the stabilizer hook that came with it since it was a closed circle and impossible to get the long rods through with the walls being next to the windows. The c-hook worked like a charm and is holding the other tension rod that has 4 light blocking panels on it, and I wish urbanest living sold the c-hooks separately, I'd buy a few more. I'll keep this rod for future uses where I'll use a stabilizer in the middle to fix it in place. The finish is pretty.

    Cheap and Marks Walls
So first one end had the spring showing and you could unscrew the spring side. Next, the rod will not stay the length you make it while putting it up. Finally, it marks the walls with tons of black marks as you put it up which if you don't quite get it put the first time, the rod shortens forcing you to reset the length. In the end, it is up and feels stable.

The rod is very sturdy and I didn’t need to use the middle support piece which is included. I’m very pleased with this rod and will purchase more of them for other windows in my house. I wanted a rod to fit inside my window frame because I didn’t want the drapes covering the oak molding.

      Great tension rods!
Bought two of these tension rods for my master bath near a tub. They are very hefty and nice looking. I have two 40” panels on each rod, and I have no worries they’ll fall down. The rods are thick but not too thick for a grommet panel.

Very nice looking Brushed steel. Aesthetically pleasing. We are using the Pulire Tension Rod in our guest Bathroom. Rubber ends does a great job gripping the tile surface. Adjustable tension gives the flexibility to use between 42" to 72". I think our requirement is closer to 60". We are using for shower curtains so the beauty is hidden. You could use it as curtain rods as well.

This Pulire 42 in. to 72 in. Metal Tension Rod is perfect for hanging shower curtains or even window curtains or with additional hardware; it can be used in closets. It has a brushed steel finish that looks fantastic and will fit the decor of any room. The tension spring is stiff, but not to stiff. It slides to the desired size easily. It can be used in openings from 42 to 72 inches making it extremely versatile. My daughter is away at college and wanted to section off part of her room so guess where this one is going...which means Dad gets to buy one for the shower curtain where I originally wanted to put it.

I bought this to use to hang curtains across patio doors. Although the description indicates the rod will fit up to 72 in., in a 70 in. opening it sagged in the middle. This would be a great tension rod for shorter width, esp. since it's a 1 in. diameter tension rod which is very hard to find. Unfortunately I had to return it.
