2.5 Qt. Mum Chrysanthemum Plant Purple Flowers in 6.33 In. Grower's Pot (4-Plants)

Order 4 plants. Received 4 plants via UPS ready to bloom. Did not leave my house. First experience without going into gardening section!

They never flowered, then died.

They looked great when they arrived, the blooms were about to open. We got 2 orange,4 red, and 4 purple plants. They had great packaging,{ but one box, 2 orange, was on its side when delivered -- shipper issue -didn't read "this end up" instructions}. The first couple of days 3/4 of one orange plant was very droopy. Within the 1st week that plant was mostly dead, though still had greenish stems, and a purple was 1/2 droopy (At arrival I watered every-other day. They were still in the pots. I don't know how often they're watered at the greenhouse) The start of the 2nd week I planted them in the beds & had my auto waterer on 1hr/night, so daily watering & 1 fertilizer spike per plant. Thought this would rescue them...well. Now at the 3rd week: 2 of the 10 look great still, and those 2 droopy plants are 95% and 85% dead respectively, and the 1 other orange is 50% dead(but it has more buds on the way). The other 5 are pretty much done blooming except on the outer edges - so the center doesn't look great anymore. The blooms didn't last as long as I expected, and some changed color. The 2 orange plant flowers quickly became yellow(what was left), and the 4 reds quickly became orange. The 4 purple have mostly kept their color. Some of the plants have new buds forming, so I'm hoping for another round of blooms. So it's the start of the 4th week now. I don't know if these results were something I did/didn't do? Maybe the shippers tossed them around? After several years of trying, no mum plants flourish for me from ANY supplier. So I'm worried about blaming the supplier. That's my experience.

Two were broke off at the roots. The other two were shipped dry and are not doing well.

The purple mums were fine.
