25 lb. Lawn Food Fertilizer

After using Scotts for years I decided to go the slow release route. After a soil sample I realized my phosphorus was already within spec and my potassium was too low so I chose this over Milorganite (Which I've had amazing success with too). The lawn has never been thicker or greener. I've also noticed when I dethatch at the end of the year there is probably 1/4 the amount of thatch from when I used Scotts. Highly recommend giving this a shot.

I wrote a review last June that this fertilizer burned out my lawn after it was looking good at the time and it’s now April of the next year and my Lawn is still mostly destroyed from this product. This fertilizer turned my thick lawn into a patchy half-dead mess. I think it may have introduced a disease or insects that are killing the grass or something. Nothing I’ve done has been able to undo the damage this product caused, not even a Chicago winter.

Lawn came back greener and thicker. We were about to remove and put pavers, but this has been a pleasant surprise.

I applied this product for the first time around June and it burned out my lawn, which was looking good at the time. I’ll never use it again and do not recommend it. I’ve been meaning to write a review and I’m so sick of looking at my burnt out front lawn.

This is the first time i use this fertilizer and the first time this season.. My grass had few yellow and struggling areas.. few weeks in and the grass is all green. I used this fertilizer along with detaching and aeration.

Been using Purely Organic along with Kellogg Lawn Food and Revive granules. This combination has worked great on my new bermudagrass lawn in CA.

Amazing results!! We used this with Milorganite and our grass (tall fescue) went from brown and patchy to lush and dark green!!

Great Organic Fertilizer Option: I don't have long term experience with the product but I'll share why I like it so far for my Pennsylvania lawn. I've been using expensive corn meal gluten products with mixed results as an alternative to harsh chemicals. In September, I pulled a lot of big patches of invasive junk grasses and planted new seed, as well as treated my lawn with milky spore for some grub issues. Clover patches have also crowded out grass in areas. All that plus a dry September had my lawn looking pretty sad. Purely Organic Lawn Food (compared to corn meal gluten) is quite compatible with autumn lawn restoration as it does not prevent grass seed from germinating. I've read that a lot of clover is due to low nitrogen so I was looking for an organic solution to boost nutrients. I was glad to find this natural fertilizer at my Home Depot to supplement my lawn restoration. After only a couple of weeks after application with decent rain this October, my lawn is already looking thicker and lush. I know most lawns look nicer this time of year, but I am seeing my newly seeded areas thrive, other thin areas becoming much healthier, and I think the Lawn Food is helping. Notice my neighbor's brown yard in the distance to the right - the source of the invasive junk grasses. With the reasonable cost of Lawn Food, I will now try: Spring pre-emergence treatment with corn meal gluten product and then 2-3 times with Lawn Food at Memorial Day, Labor Day and just before winter.
