The QEP 16 in. Universal Mixing Paddle mixes small volumes of thinset, grout, mortar, cement and plaster. Designed to reduce torque and pressure on the drill, this paddle may be used with both corded and cordless drills. For optimal performance, mix up to 5 lbs. of material at a time. This mixing paddle minimizes foam and air bubbles for successful installations.

I need a mixing paddle for Thinset and Grout that does smaller batches. This QEP 16" Thinset and Grout Mixer fit the bill.
The paddle fits a 1/2 in. and 3/8 in. drill chuck. When mixing I would not go over 300- 350 RPM's. Otherwise you will be getting bubbles in your mix. It works really well and it was easy to clean up.

I used this to mix 2 lbs of dry grout with 5.6 ounces of water in a 2-1/2 qt pail with my 18v Bosch cordless drill set on the low speed range. The mixing paddle worked great and I can't imagine trying to mix that amount of dry material with the recommended amount of water by hand. It looked to me before I started like there was no way that was enough water. Highly recommend for small jobs - I was grouting a backsplash on a bathroom vanity.

One of my best purchases!
This mixer was a very inexpensive tool that worked SuperGood for my small job. It was a good match for my medium sized drill motor, and mixed 1/3 to 1/2 of a bag of mortar with ease. I can't imagine mixing the patch, mortar and grout I used on this job without this tool. I'll certainly use this tool on my next tiling project in the spring.

Great mixer for the price point!
Did purchase this based upon other positive reviews.
For the price point has very excellent results and mixes well.
Used this with unmodified thinset using 3/8" drill both forward & reverse without bogging or overheating the drill.
I had a paddle bit mixer and this greatly out performs that with uniform and clean results.
Very pleased, can't go wrong.
Cleans easily as well.

Does what it says
So much easier than mixing by hand. Might want a little more surface area to generate more motion, but that might make it harder to clean.
