Install tile with professional results while saving time with the QEP LASH Tile Leveling Clips. The QEP LASH clip and wedge system is used by professional and DIY installers alike to save time while providing a level and consistently spaced wall or floor. For quick and easy removal, clips are designed to break off below the surface of the tile.

Questions & Answers

Can these be used on porcelain tile planks 8"x48"?

Asked by: Karla
Use the ones with bowed feet for tile that long. These are recommended for smaller tile.

What size of trowel notch is recommended?

What size of trowel notch is recommended?
Asked by: Five0
That’s like asking “what size hammer should I use?” Totally depends on what you’re installing. Use the notch sizes recommended for your tile installation. If you aren’t sure what that is, check with the substrate manufacturer packaging and instructions and the mortar package you’re considering. If you don’t know what that is, look up a bunch of YouTube videos. Schluter products have quite a few videos. Tiling seems cheap and easy enough but takes a lot of research, work and an investment in the purchase or rental of quality tiling tools: otherwise it is very easy to get bad results that have to be redone. If you are doing a small area, want to learn how to do this and and don’t need professional results the first few times, go ahead and try it out. Would not recommend doing any wet areas like a shower or tub surround without a lot of research about good and bad installations (moldy, leaky and tile mortar never setting). Even if hiring a tiler, the research will give you a common understanding of what is reasonable and why they seem to charge so much.

Do you need a tool to install the wedge? Or can you just use a rubber mallet.

Asked by: Mike
Yes you need pliers to tight the wedges there’s 2 models one for floors you can get at Homedepot and one for walls you can get online both works fine but I do prefer the wall once the floors one every now and then you get your hand pinch

the tile I"m putting down is square (12 inch X 12 inch), I will be using a 3/16 in spacer (to match existing tile). How many of these flat lash spacers do I need to put on a side? 1 per side (in the middle) or 2 per side (one at each corner). If I do 2 I still need room for the 3/16 inch spacer. Recommendations?
Asked by: mvno
I would use two per side for 12x12 plus at least one extra per tile (when these break while installing). You’ll still want the 3/16 spacer. I find it helpful to use a couple of lasers while installing to keep things straight
