Played and sang for years... not always the best equipment but sometimes... anyway, this xlr cable is top quality. The shielding is very effective, no pops or rumbles from outside contact or taps. The connectors lock in as expected, one end male, one female. The fifteen foot length on this cable suits my living room applications. It is a really high quality cable suitable for direct boxes or microphones or any other XLR application.
The QVS 15 ft. Premium XLR Male to Female Balanced Shielded Audio Cable is a vary high quality microphone cable. The connectors are gold plated and definitely heavy duty. The cable is quite flexible in addition to having a thick protective outer jacket. This cable will be a very good choice for frequent and not so gentle professional use. The retention clip is both very secure and easy to operate.
This is a 3-pin audio cable with a male connection on one end and a female connection on the other end. The connectors are made of metal, not plastic, so they should be able to handle being stepped on and rolled over with equipment without any damage. The plugs have a heavy-duty locking connector (See Photo) which prevents any separation. Should something happen to the cable the connectors can be opened up with the little screws for an easy repair. The terminals are clearly numbered (See Photo). They have a molded strain relief on both ends and the premium cable has a thick rubber jacket on it that makes the cable very flexible and it doesn’t kink even in cold temperatures. It lays flat as all audio cables should. This cable might be better used as an extension cable, and not a cable where you connect a microphone directly to the end of it, unless the microphone is going to be mounted on a podium or a desk and not handheld. The flexible rubber cable is about the thickness of a typical ballpoint pen (See Photo), and is a little heavy and bulky for a handheld microphone. But most handheld microphones are wireless now anyway. The pins are gold plated (See Photo) assuring a quality connection. The shielded 16-AWG cable along with the gold-plated connections helps reduce any electrical noise or ground loop which is the dreaded hum that occurs in some sound systems that aren’t properly shielded and balanced. It comes in 15-foot 25-foot or 50-foot lengths.
Everything about this cable is of exceptional quality. The cable is quite flexible and doesn't retain a hard shape if bent like some other XLR cables does. The connectors feel quite solid. These cables feature thick, heavy gauge wires, gold-plated connectors, and sturdy connector housings. Balanced Audio cables such as these utilize impedance balanced lines that reduce EM and RF noise. The cables are much thicker than any of the other cables I had - I bet it is thicker copper and shielding that is making the difference. This is what a mic cable should look like, feel like, and sound like. It's thick, it's sturdy, it plugs in securely, it seems to be shielded well, and it gives me excellent sound quality in my home studio. If you need mic cables, you can probably end your search right here. Should provide good life as it is more rugged than many cables with only 24-26 gauge wires. Shielding seems good; I haven't noticed any interference problems. Great price at the time.
Yup, It's an XLR cable. Works like it should. As a musician it is always good to have a stockpile of these. This cabe is a great value. No hissing, humming or feedback. Cable it self seems quite sturdy, and 15 feet is enough to reach all my applications. I didn't think Home Depot carried these, but to my surprise! Shipping was no problem. Cable came in one piece.
I admit when needing cables for my home studio, I never thought of Home Depot until now. These are high-quality QVS cables and they are available at HD online. I don’t know if you can find this in the stores. I used this 15 ft shielded 16AWG XLR to connect my lead vocal Condenser type microphone to my 32 track recorder. The gold-plated connector ends work as I expected and the cable is soft and flexible. I don’t hear any noise or hum coming from any of my analog equipment. This QVS cable is just like the cables I have purchased from music and electronic stores, over the years. Works and looks great!
Just Fine ... Not Professional ... But Just Fine. A professional cable can withstand a lot of hard use. It can take a lot of plugging and unplugging. It can withstand a lot of carts running over it and musicians stepping on them. This one ... not so much. Oh sure, it can take some of that ... but not as much as the pro studios require. For home use, this is great and the price is right on target for that.

Now a days musicians use wireless mics and guitar hookups quite a bit when doing big stage shows/or/worship venues
But for smaller gigs, using a cord is quite ok.
and a more premium balance audio cable that uses shielded 16AWG heavy-gauge flexible cable is great for giving you a better sound quality.
This cable will connect microphone or guitar to mixer, preamp, DI box, or recorders

A real nice cable that works very well.
This is a nice XLR cable.
The build quality is excellent and the cable works as intended. The male end clip into a microphone easily and the button to release works. The female end plugs into a XLR plug without issues. The cable shielding is thick so this is not a cheaper cable. And, it is heavy.
I've plugged the cable into a microphone and recording interface. The cable transmits signals without noise. .
My expectations have been exceeded.
This microphone cable is very well made. At 15 ft., it is long enough for most small stage applications. It has a nice thick gauge wire and the connectors are metal with what looks like gold plating. It is low noise, too. I compared it with a shorter basic microphone cable that I have and the sound quality is indistinguishable. But this cable feels more durable and solid than my other more cheaper cable. I was a bit skeptical because I didn't recognize the brand, but it looks and feels professional quality. I would not hesitate to use this on stage.
