This paint spray is only good if what you are looking for is a faded worn out look. Very little pigment on the color. Took me several coats and most of the can to get this look on a 24x48 trellis.

We appreciate your feedback. If applying Quick Color Spray Paint over a contrasting color or over a porous surface, like bare wood, additional coats will be needed for full coverage. Rustoleum
Textured Surface, not a smooth gloss surface.
After a light sanding, did the first light coat. Hour later added the second coat. Paint right off started to form a crinkled surface. Thought maybe I didn't prep it right. Sanded and laid down another top coat. Same results, crinkle surface, not adhering to the surface. Surface was sanded smooth, cleaned and dry. Can was shakened, live in Southern California, no humidity, great day to paint. Waste of time using this product. Save your self the time and try something else.

Hi Drew, this is a solvent reaction known as wrinkling, and can be caused by recoating outside the recoat time of within 1 hour, or after 24 hours. Sanding just prior to applying the next coat will also cause wrinkling to occur, and we recommend waiting 24 hours after sanding the surface to prevent a reoccurrence. To prevent wrinkling, either apply multiple coats 10-15 minutes apart (within 1 hour of one another), or wait 24 hours between coats. Rustoleum
Looking for lousy worthless spray paint?
The good...only costs a buck. The bad news...everything else. Terrible coverage it's like there is zero pigment in it. Ignore the manufacturer's comments/responses, which state to all the negative reviews that individuals are not applying it right, failing to prepare the surface or not shaking the can before applying. The bottom line is this stuff is junk. Pictured is a leg support for a stereo rack I'm building. Nice uneven finish after five coats. If you are prepared to apply 14,500 coats in a time frame spanning a zillion years then this is the paint for you. If your time and effort is valuable then look for a different brand. Rust-Oleum...don't chide or suggest to me I did something wrong. Been painting models since age 7 and professionally for 40 years thereafter. There is a reason there are so many negative reviews and that is because this is an inferior product.

We appreciate your feedback about the coverage with Quick Color Spray Paint. If running into coverage issues, you may consider Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra Cover Spray Paints instead.

I bought a case in preparation for Halloween. I use Quick Color 10 oz. Gloss Black to create tombstones for the yar. It actually gives the tombstones an aged look after the paint dries.

Quick Color Spray Enamel in Gloss White
I purchased this paint today, with the intentions of painting a pressure treated fence board for a home improvement project. While the paint did spray well, and the odor was lower than I was used to; the color pigments were very thin and watery. I had to use the entire can to cover the small amount of board I had cut to use. I was disappointed in this brand of paint and the incredibly thin color coverage it afforded. I will not be purchasing this brand again. Home Depot should re-evaluate the brand and try it for themselves to better judge if the should sell/carry this brand.

        Response from Rust-OleumSupportAug 21, 2020
That was not the intention! Please keep in mind that the condition or type of surface can affect the coverage rate of the Quick Color Spray. Previously painted surfaces, the number of coats, and the thickness of the coats can affect the coverage as well. To maximize coverage, hold the can upright 10 to 16 inches from the surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Make sure to keep the can the same distance from the surface and in motion while spraying. Apply 2 or more light coats a few minutes apart to avoid drips and runs. Rustoleum

Hmm, that is odd, Ed. Keep in mind that it's important to sand the surface thoroughly so the Quick Color Spray can adhere and dry properly. If the surface was made of rubber, this product will not be able to adhere to that material. Rustoleum

I spray painted my Mobile home with this paint a year ago , looks great , easy for me to do , I am a 57 year old female. I also bought the hand sprayer to go on top of the can. I think I bought 70 cans all together , I painted my home a dollar at a time.

By far the worst spray paint I've ever used. Doesn't cover the surface like you'd expect spray paint to. Anyone who gave this product a good rating obviously has never used quality spay paint before. I have learned my lesson, don't be cheap. Spend your money on a quality can that will get the job done the first time.

I can't say how long this holds up, but it goes on smooth and dries to a very high even gloss. You can spray a very heavy final finish coat, and this will not run. I've gone into HD twice thinking I would buy something else, but can't bring myself to paying 4 to 6 times what this cost. I'll keep using it. Good stuff!

I bought these to paint some rubber footpath pads that I also got from THD. I had painted one with another spray paint product and that rubber pad had no issues with flaking or issues with sun fading. I sprayed the remaining rubber pads with this product and within 3 days of being outside the paint had flaked off significantly. For this particular application, I would not recommend this particular paint.

Only Good for Sniffing the Fumes
Quick Color Gloss White Paint The self checkout alarmed when I tried to buy this. They won't sell to teenagers for sniffing the fumes, but that's all it is good for. I tried to spray a brown surface of about 4 square feet. After using the whole can, the brown still was visible in spots. I did not get enough paint on the surface to judge the quality, but it was not a shiny enamel finish, due to the poor coverage. Do not expect to cover more than 2 square feet.

                          Budget Paint
This is a inexpensive product, and once dryed and set is probably nearly as good as a more expensive paint. But be aware if your going to use this on a totally unpainted surface, you’ll need to prime it well first. Coverage on a clear unfinshed surface in my experiance has been poor. It has its uses and is very budget friendly, but its not a “go to” product for me, I’ll spend a couple of bucks more and go with a more name brand for better coverage and easy of use.

                              Worst choice of spray paint
Not worth the 98 cents they charge. It takes way too many coats and then smells terrible for weeks. I coated a simple black pine surface and 3 weeks later the paint still rubs off when I touch it and smells horrible. It's not wet when it rubs off, it's chalky and terrible. I am well versed in applying spray paint and followed all directions. This stuff is a waste of time and money.

That is not what we like to hear! If the paint is rubbing off after drying, you are likely experiencing dry spray, which occurs when paint dries in the air prior to landing on the surface. This will create a textured, dull finish, and the paint dust will continue to rub off of the surface. You can wipe the surface with a rag dampened with mineral spirits to remove this dust, then recoat the surface. Try moving the can closer to the surface being painted to prevent dry spray from reoccurring. We also recommend avoiding spraying in direct sunlight, or in breezy conditions. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 2 Rustoleum
