You can but the locking system will not function - we modified ours with a zip tie to hold it up right.

How to close for hanging
Same problem as many others..."replacement" edge wears out after a few months of light to moderate use on our driveway. Seems that this company is no help so I'll just use some silicone glue and fix the one I have...Won't ever buy this brand again!

I'm looking for a replacement for the runner strip or so called rubber lip for bottom of my dust pan to pick up all the dirt . I have 4 dust pan and all have same issues they need replacement from the rubber strip
You can buy it on Amazon.com. It is not from the same brand name; it’s generic but it works fine. I am still using it; No need to buy the new one.
Nowhere to buy it! Ours is the same thing. You just have to deal with it or buy a new one like us.

CAN I GET ONE WITHOUT THE HANDLE
The handle is attached to the dustpan and is not sold separately.
Rubber strip at end of dustpan seems to wear out a lot sooner than the dustpan. Anyone been able to find a replacement strip? Seems a waste to buy a new dustpan just for the rubber strip. Dustpan still works for big debris, but if you have dust/dirt it wont work as good.

Mine broke off too... in two pieces. I sent an email to the company to see if I could buy a replacement edge...they never answered me. It is useless without it...the dirt goes under the edge.
Unfortunately, I don’t think they have a replacement strip for the dustpan. Try contacting Quickie directly, and they may be able to help. It would be good for them to know about the problem with the rubber strip. Their phone number is 800-257-5751
Just got off the phone with Quickie call center. They do not provide replacement parts for any of their products! Refills, yes. Parts, no. If anyone is making a replacement blade, I would think it would also fit on this pan. Haven't found one yet.
Who ever suggested to call the manufacturer thanks, I just spoke with them and they will be sending me out a whole new duster. That is there way of replacing the rubber.They don't have just the rubber piece. I should receive it within 7-14 days
