        Performs better than I expected!
Difficult installation on a steep roof in sunny weather but I got it done myself. The App download and programming which followed was a snap and the unit came to life. The auto mode so far is performing perfectly but since the weather cooled, the attic isnt getting super heated yet. At high speed test, I could hear the fan from the bedroom, it’s no louder than an Air Doctor or small AC window unit. On auto, the fan comes on at 80 degrees at low speed and I cannot hear it. At 90 degrees it goes to med speed. At 100 degrees it runs at high speed. I think this was a wise purchase and look forward to lower cooling bills and a more comfortable 2nd floor.

          This will save you money!
Full disclosure, I have not yet installed this, because the weather has not been cooperating. BUT I have another quiet cool product that I installed last year and this is a more powerful version of the same. So this review is not based on blind faith or hope. My attic has a couple different sections and I got this to go in the section that is currently not being serviced by a vent. Last spring I installed a gable fan by quietcool on the High Point of my attic wall, and the summer before I put a Bluetooth thermometer in the attic for several months with logging capabilities. On the hottest of days here it would get up to the upper 130s with a peak of 141. Even on a completely cloudy summer day when it might be 80° out the attic was 110. This year on comparable days but with the gable fan installed, and the same Bluetooth tracking for temperature, my attic never got above 115, except one extreme hot spell when it was close to 120. So back to this fan… I wish I had gone with a roof mounted one from the beginning, if not, just because the installation wouldn’t require me to be at the top of a 30 foot ladder while installing. I plugged this one in (it comes with a three prong outlet already wired, but you can switch to a hardwire if you want) and it runs through the test mode of high and low with ease. The fan has absolutely no vibration and it is extremely quiet on high or low. It also moves a significant amount of air due to the blade design and it moves it in a very efficient manner. What really makes these products shine is the app, though in my opinion. You can see from the pictures the other fan I already have in there, but this fan showed up in my app before I even press the pairing button, once you do press the power button for three seconds. It automatically connected within about five seconds and takes you right to the set up screen. The fact that this comes with Bluetooth installed, a built-in thermostat, a built-in hygrometer, and a supported app that has literally never failed me, this is a winning product. If you’re still reading at this point, here’s the best part. THIS WILL SAVE YOU MONEY!! I have a smart home thermostat that sends me an email each month based on how much power I used year over here, but also relative to the average temperatures year over a year. This summer, even in a month that was on average 2° warmer than last year, our AC was used in that month 50 hours less than it was last year. That is huge! My home office is upstairs in a west facing Rome and Summers were miserable the year before, as it seemed that no matter what I did it was always hot in that room. I am 100% convinced that replacing 130+ degree air with 110° air is what made the difference to make it feel comfortable this summer.

Great Fan With a Basic App
I find this attic fan to be well-engineered and constructed. It's a traditional design that's made in the States. The three-blade fan itself is beefier and more sophisticated than the generic mechanical thermostat model it replaced. It's quieter, better balanced, offers two speeds, and installs easily. The install manual is excellent - full color, large print, and comprehensive. The remote smart app control is the major feature but I'm not convinced it has much benefit in normal use. It doesn't change speeds automatically based on need. It only sets on/off switching thresholds like a mechanical thermostat. Yet, as the install manual states, control adjustments are rarely needed once set. I suppose there's benefit in seeing real time status, but without a log function to show run time history, they missed the only data feature of interest to me. It does monitor and control based on humidity, and allows seasonal presets, which might be helpful in certain scenarios. Anyway, the fan operates very well as a fan whether I access the smart app or not.

          Attic fan, cooler house.
The quiet, cool roof mounted attic fan is designed to remove all the hot air from the attic space and dust. The house gets cooler. And what’s better is this is a smart control from your smart phone. It also has a 110 plug which you generally have in your attic by the light And the attic access so you wanna make sure you install your fan within that distance, or use a heavy duty extension cord. This fan provides 1266 ft.³ per minute of exhaust. This is the amount of air the fan can move in one minute. It’s very quiet as its name, and specially when you’re trying to sleep at night. It says it’s energy efficient and I’m sure it is but we’ll wait and find out the installation should be on the roof although I am going to install mine on the side and hopefully that works better under the eaves of the house where water won’t get to it. It has a built-in thermostat and turns on when the attic temperature reaches what you sit on your smart phone. If you doing it on the roof, florida code says you must use a roofer. If you install it under the eve on the side of the house in the attic, and you can just use an electrician and or a handyman.

An awesome upgrade to a smart Attic fan
I thought all fans were the same, I was wrong, they have different power and different features and this QuietCool Roof mount Attic fan is quiet, smart and cool. The fan comes in a box with the fan as well as some screws to install into place, I hired someone to do it because I do not like getting on the roof but before I got it installed we tested it to make sure it worked and I also wanted to know more about it. The fan is just plug and play, there is no wiring involved, just plug to the nearest outlet or if you have one already for the old one then use that outlet. It also looks well made from top to bottom and it has its built in flashing for an easier installation and less steps to do so. I like that it does have 3 speeds and it ranges from using 26 watts 1015 CFM up to 170 watts at 2116 CFM depending on the need at the time. And when we tested it, you can hear and feel the strength from low to high. I also like how it has its own built in thermostat, I can set it up from the application to the desired temperature and it will work by itself and I can always come back and change it using the app and I do not need to be right next to it since it is connected via Bluetooth, and with the new phones that range can be pretty far and as for any updates it will connect to the WiFi and that usually covers more area. The control has two buttons, test and pair and they are just that and four led lights, one for the power, the next one for status and the other two for test and pair. Overall it is a great upgrade, having the ability to control the fan, set the temperature and humidity from the application is amazing. The fan also has a smart mode, timer and presets for summer and winter. And I can setup when it turns on and when it turns off, it is just smart. Lastly QuietCool has plenty of information as well as videos on how to setup as well as how to control the fan, very helpful.

          Heavy, Large
Very Heavy Duty.... we were shocked at how big & heavy duty all the parts are. It has a huge motor like an AC unit does, LOL. It even has a large capacitor, being a 12.5uF type. This is good, because these parts can likely be replaceable if they go out early. This Attic Fan is for large attics that need large amounts of attic ventilation. The brand we tried in solar years ago & that 1 is still working well.

          Good quality product.
QuietCool 1922 CFM Smart App Controlled 2-Speed Roof Mount Attic Fan Overall I am very pleased with this product. I appreciate the Bluetooth connectivity which allows us to control the fan speeds as well as adjust settings for automatic operation via mobile devices, also it will show you current temperature and humidity in your attic (while at home). There is summer & winter settings which allow changes from default to whatever temperature and/or humidity level desired. The low speed is very quiet whereas the high speed is a bit louder than advertised however it is bearable. You eventually get used to the “white noise” created by the “humming” of the fan. I work nights so it actually helps me sleep. I have already noticed that my air-condition does not run as often being that the fan is expelling the hot air that is in the attic thus keeping the bedroom space cooler. As for winter in order to keep the ice buildup I will monitor the temperature in attic an if I see temp going to surpass 32F I will turn it on to went the attic and this will prevent the ice buildup.

          Good attic fan
I picked up this attic fan with the intention of using it when we redo our roof in the spring. I have one of the gable vents, smart fans as well that you can use an app to set specific settings for winter and summer. It is nothing short of phenomenal has made a huge difference in comfort in our second floor. This has a 15 year warranty and should last much longer than that

Great fan. Great app. High speed is louder than I'd like
It looks really good and isn't an eyesore on my roof. It's reasonably low profile. Low speed is very quiet but you'll know when high speed kicks in. It's not terrible but enough to hear it near the attic stairs. The 2 speed feature is great. The majority of the time will be on low but when the summer heat kicks in, I expect the fan to be on high speed most of the time. No wiring to deal with. It has it's own junction box with a cord coming out that you can simply plug into a standard outlet. I got confused in downloading the app. The QR code in the book took me to what I believer is a website and not an app. I just searched the app store and found it there. Downloading and pairing was pretty simple and quick. The app is pretty good. Not the best I've seen but pretty good, You can set your preferences for summer, winter or a custom setup. All 3 are editable for temp and humidity. You can even add more custom setups if you need to. The outer shell is pretty thin. I bent it slightly while pulling it out of the box but it bent back easily. Overall it's a great fan.

          Quit fan
I bought this QuietCool 1922 CFM attic fan with smart app controlled with two speeds. I am going to install on a ranch stile home with an attic that gets so hot it needs some ventilation. I researched this fan and it is much quieter than many other products but the best part is that you can control it from your phone. There is also no special electrical requirements just plug into a 120 volt outlet.
