Unit was installed in roof by roofing company. All I had to do was "plug" it in. The fan is quite and works well. I have it in the garage and it sure makes the area move livable in this hot summer weather. Could not ask for a better unit.

Excellent purchase! The WiFi connection makes using this fan ONLY when YOU WANT to, a breeze! No pun intended. Very easy to install (on shingle roof) and cooled the attic from 120F down to 80F (which was outside, ambient temp.). in 2 1/2 hours!

Seem to work well, bluetooth signal weak
I bought two of these fans and they were just installed. They are quiet. Within a few minutes, they brought the attic temperature down and the temperature continues to drop.
The bluetooth signal is weak. In my 2 story house, I must be nearly directly under the fan for the fan for it to be detected by the app.
The app is is not intuitive and there is no manual mode to turn the fan on/off and set the speed. The preset programs (e.g. summer/winter) cannot be set to automatically engage.

Works well but is made for small attic. Literature does not offer sufficiently inform how to size for different attic spaces. Company tech told me I should install 8 or 10 for my 90,000 cu ft attic. DUMB

The Quietcool roof mount attic fan appears to be well built. Installation is relatively simple and straight forward. I installed it myself. The “smart” remote control app works well, though it connects through Bluetooth, which doesn’t have great range. For instance, the fan is installed in the attic of my two story house, and if I’m downstairs in a room that’s not near the stairs, I cannot connect. Would be much better if it were connected through Wi-Fi and accessible from anywhere. The fan is not too loud to me, even on high. I’m using it as a combo attic and whole house fan - I have a tiny attic. It definitely helps to pull the heat trapped in our upstairs rooms and attic out of the house. We’ve seen a marked improvement though we haven’t hit the hotter summer nights yet. We live in Southern California.
