If your wall is concrete and the crack or damage to repair is less than a 1/4 inch deep, this stuff will work great!

Yes it will but it has to be given a chance to harden first, obviously.

Does it have adhesive properties?

QUIKRETE® Concrete Patching Compound is not an adhesive product. For your application, we would recommend using instead QUIKRETE® Advanced Polymer Construction Adhesive.

Yes. I did the same. It is not entirely seamless, but was a huge improvement for my situation.

In my experience, yes. I used it to patch chunks that fell out of the side of some cement steps.

How to stick this thing in 3/16 screw hole?

Sorry, hate to tell you that it will last for few months then will crack because 3/16 is too shallow .The cement won't stick for that shallow hole. You should open up the cracks deep and more wider to give more room for fill up. Good luck.

This will have to be built up in multiple (2-3?) coats. Your patch is too deep for a single application. Instructions about the max coat thickness are on the container. They spell this out in their instructions.

How can I remove this product once it has dried

Asked by Handyman October 10, 2020

It's very hard and durable when it dries. I would think you'd have to jackhammer it. Or at least chisel it out. If you apply it thinly it would be easier to remove, but not fun.

Does it work on wood?

BARE Wood will absorb the moisture and swell, knocking it off as they both dry. I'd try for something else.

can a broom finish be applied to this?

In my opinion, it would be difficult to apply a broom finish unless the broom had very short, stiff bristles like a whisk broom .

I needed to cover some holes and scrapes in the walls of my basement. In such a way that I needed a flexible product. With this product the work was well done. After drying, the product hardens strongly and it is not noticeable where it was applied. After several weeks, the product does not dry in the container.

Overall I'd have to say I was disappointed in this product. Here's a non mixing, read to go product that looks like an easy fix to apply to a cement porch step. A little too good to be true and it was. I wish I had read the reviews because I saw a lot of the same complaints. #1 This took much longer to set than the product claims. I was right at the 1/4 in depth and after nearly 3 days in the sun I figured I was in the clear. Wrong. It rains and I came home to peanut butter consistency all over again. I fix it again, and problem #2 (again) was that it was really difficult to get a decent finish with the trow. I dipped it in water for a smoother finish and it would look ok and then as it started to dry, it would crinkle, dimple and flake to a pitted finish. Not only that, but if you press on it, it's kinda flexible which means it's probably not going to last in a high traffic area like a side walk or in this case, a step. Finally, problem number #3 is that the color is a much lighter color that sticks out like a sore thumb. I would go with a more traditional cement product if I were you.

Worked great. Just need to use spray bottle and keep it wet when you are working it so it will stay smooth. The color did not blend in with the existing concrete I was working on it was more like a pewter grey instead of a stone grey.
