I really like this stuff. My driveway is old and starting to spawl -- the driveway is inclined significantly and I've noticed more and more particulate at the bottom after rains. So this treatment does help give a top coat on the worst areas of spawling. It looks nice. Add two cups of sand to make the color less grey and more tan.

Blistered while drying and flaking off.
Don’t do it. Thought I’d give this product a try but had nothing but problems. Too thick when mixed per instructions and unable to squeegee. Set in less than 5 minutes. Concrete sidewalk was power washed, degreased, ground, power washed and for some reason as the product cured air bubbles formed under the surfacer and those areas would just flake off. No issues with other brand resurfacer.

Yikes, color not at all as advertised.
I really wanted to love this stuff, but the results were terrible. I purchased 45 bags of Quikcrete Re-Cap, along with 23 bottles of the Buff color additive for a total of $1,527. I then hired a professional 3 man crew to install the Re-Cap, (more money spent) who followed the directions to a T, using all recommended equipment. The results came out a marbled orange (not a nice neutral buff). It was only the appropriate color in a few spots. Perhaps the colorant was labeled wrong at the factory, because it looks a lot more like their Terra Cotta color. I'm now going to have to paint my floors, another added expense, in addition to the fact that it is delaying when we can move into our home! Did not work at all as advertised.

doesnt work
after installation it started to crack and came off. followed all the instruction for a garage project. power washed the old floor with 4K PSI and followed the instruction to the T. few days later this is what i got. cracking when walked on and it's totally useless. cost tones of $$ and not working. i tried different brand before and it work great but not this one. it seems there are others having the same issue that was identical to my issue. one person said to put on 2 coats????? this is no way cheap product. why is it white, cracking and coming off? this is not my first rodeo doing resurfacing. this is my first time using this product. what is going on? now i have to take all this off and redo it with something else. $600 right out of my pocket.

great product
We have some imperfections on our garage slab and this product gave a new life to the flat work we were able to smooth out the whole basement ~900 sqft with 21 bags, took us 3 hours total in two people. We will wait one week before we park on it hope it does not crack.

Do not spend your time...
My garage floor need to be refinished. I purchased the product after a deep research of the current market, it looked reliable. I cleaned the floor multiple times using power-washer, metal brush and acid to prepare the surface properly for the product application. I patched the cracks in old floor by the thicker consistency of the product. All preparation was done according the manufacturer's instructions on the package and video on their website. I applied the product to the floor and it looked nice until it dried out. In two days the surface start to crack at the most area of the floor. In 3-4 days the product started to pill off.
The store from where I bought the product told me to contact the manufacturer in order to get refunded. I spent about 3 months by calling and emailing with quality control department until they stop to reply. Recently I got a call from a manager and got blamed that I didn't prepare the surface right that why the result of their product was unsuccessful. After all he didn't realize how sold him self by telling me that they have the problem all over the country.
If you really looking to get a quality product, do not consider to buy this one!
The cost of the product and the quality does not match. My neighbor refinished his garage with a regular topping concrete and got much better result. I lost $400 and a day of life and now I have to redo the floor. I hope my story will help people to make a right decision.

Great Alternative to replacement.
I started with a 50 year old driveway with totally exposed aggregate. I researched this product, and decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. Do not omit over prepping your surface, I scrubbed it thoroughly with a strong concrete cleaner and then power washed every inch of the driveway. Prepping may take you much longer if you need to fill cracks or grind down high spots. Applying product goes very quickly.remember do it yourself does not mean do it by yourself. in my opinion you positively need a minimum of two people. what's the process begins one will spread material the other will prepare material so that there is a seamless flow. my job was 10 ft by 38 ft and it took me 45 minutes to apply product from finish to end.upon my experience I would recommend exactly three quarts of water per one bag of product, you must mix with a handheld power mixer, do not mix by hand you cannot achieve the correct consistency. my second recommendation if you have to you can use a squeegee to apply this product, a squeegee is extremely difficult to use around the edges of your surface. I would recommend using a trowel and knee pads if you can do that. I mixed the product let it sit for 3 minutes mixed it again for one minute and I came out with very consistent pancake batter like pourable mix. I began spreading immediately toward myself and continued until the bottom of the driveway was reached. if you want a broom finish you must stop every five or eight minutes and run your concrete room lightly over the surface.I have found this product so far to be fine and a fantastic alternative to replacement.

Waste of money
I purchased a large quantity of this product to fix a low spot in my concrete slab across a larger room. The product cracked and did not attach to the slab I poured it over within 3 days...It has broke loose and I'm pulling up pieces with my fingers. The product is brittle and brakes as easy as shell rock. DO NOT BUY!

Recommend - but with important exceptions
I am a DIY guy....1st time attempting a concrete job. I gave it 4 stars because it worked for what I was doing. If I was doing a project where I wasn't going to paint it, then it probably would have received 1-2 stars.
I read a hundred reviews and watched a ton of you tube videos. Concerns with workability and different shades when dry (dark and light gray) where commented on often.
Picture: It looks blotchy and not even, but it's not a great picture....it is smooth and even....not sure why the pic came out the way.......the slab to the left is definitely the darker gray as you can see......
I was going to cover my finished product with garage/concrete floor paint so that didn't matter to me.** Note I couldn't find anywhere on their technical data sheets or comments on how long you have to wait before painting. I had to cal Quikcrete..7 days for water based paint and 28 days for oil based...I'm using a 1 part epoxy so I have to wait 28 days! I planned on painting it in 2 days....glad I called them. If it's for an unpainted surface, it's probably not your best bet. As many noted, there are different shades....a light gray and dark gray. My guess is where there is excess water that is left on the concrete from wetting it, that area turns a lighter gray. I guess if you are consistent with water on each batch...and you don't let any water pool, you may be ok....but I still don't know if that will prevent the two shades. I didn't think I had any pools of water as I even took a squeegee to it, but there were and that's where there was light gray.
Other note.....many said they had a lot of rocks they had to pick out. They must have improved quality control, as I only I had 3 very small stones out of ten 40lb bags.
My project was for a room off my mudroom connected to my garage. The room is inside, but not heated. There was an uneven crack that was 1/8" to 3/8" higher than the other part of the slab.....i.e. one side lifted up when it settled because of improper installation. The crack hasn't moved since it initially happened. This actually went on thick enough so i didn't have to grind the uneven concrete down. I bought a grinder and a diamond wheel and didn't have to use it because I saw this product could go up to 1/2". After 2 coats, I was able to make it look even.....I was happy with this as it saved me grinding and fighting the dust!
For me, a 1st time concrete DIY project, it worked as it smooth and even which was my goal...no big uneven crack.....and a new re-coated surface ready to paint....in 28 days!
