Answer This Question
A: Each 50-lb bag of QUIKRETE All-Purpose Gravel yields approximately 0.5 cubic feet of gravel. If your hole has a 10 inch diameter and is 6 inches deep, it will require approximately ¼ cubic foot of gravel, which will require less than 1 50-lb bag. If your hole is a 10 inch x 10 inch square and is 6 inches deep, it will require approximately 1/3 cubic foot of gravel, which will also require less than 1 50-lb bag. Yields are approximate and will vary based upon compaction, waste, uneven subgrade, etc. If your dimensions use a unit of measure other than inches, please reach out to us at 1-800-282-5828 for further assistance.

I use this for mulch on top of potted plants to retain moisture and keep the squirrels from digging in them. It works great and even looks nice.

I used this to put at the bottom of the concrete post for drainage. After 3 years nothing is sinking so I suppose it works. Cheaper than having to realign and raise a porch for sure.
