Great value for great results
We picked up this foam board insulation sheet to wrap an HVAC return duct. The R-Tech sheet is easy to work with. The foam didn't cut or break well enough to avoid a shower of bits. And the plastic coating sometimes tore rather than cut. This didn't happen on the foil side. However, overall happy with this product.

I got these insulation panels to cut and place in the west facing windows of my house for the summer. They were easy to cut and easy to put in place. I’ve had them in the windows for about two weeks now and they are doing a fantastic job of reducing the amount of heat entering the house. This will definitely help in reducing the cooling costs during the summer.

I used this product to insulate garage door to shield from hot desert sun with fantastic results....
I used this product to insulate garage door to shield from hot desert sun with fantastic results. Aesthetic is bonus - just look at the picture. It is unbelievable that I used no glue, no screw, and no tape, yet they are completely held in place, and completely removable if I wish to. Read on if you want to know how. Problem: I live in a desert and my garage becomes uninhabitable in summer months, often exceeding 120 F - the temperature at which you are not recommended to store most spray can bottles. The cause of heat is obviously my east-south facing metal garage doors, which collectively turn into 200 ft2 teppanyaki grill. Standing closer to the garage door, you can feel the radiation coming from the heated garage door panels. Alternatives: I looked for the best known methods to shield garage from heat. One common way is to glue or tape Reflectix (basically a bubble wrap with reflective film on both sides) on garage door. Or you can buy 'insulation kit', which costs small fortune, and may require spring tension adjustment due to extra weight. Lastly, you can cut and 'attach' foam panel with reflective film on it, which is the route that I took. Requirements: It is desirable if the solution is - lightweight so that spring tension doesn't have to be changed - easily removable in case you need to repair garage door - clean finish and look that adds value - minimally intrusive to existing structure - simple so that you don't have to dismantle garage door during installation One thing I didn't care about was shielding from cold in winter, but I think this will help in winter too. The solution: After close examination of the design of garage door metal frame, I realized I can insert cut pieces of foam panel into the garage door and they will be held in place by natural tension of the foam if the foam panels were cut with precision. The edge of the metal door frame actually works as finishing trim, which will look very good. There are two potential execution issues with this plan. One is how to insert the foam panels, and the other is once foam panel is inserted, then how to bring the panel closer to the edge and give some tension. Solution to the first problem is to buy thin panel so that I can bend.1/2 inch panel works like charm. You will be surprised how bendable this panel is. As long as you don't remove films on both sides, this panel can take quite amount of bending force without breaking. So, what you have to do is just bend a cut piece of this panel and slide the panel in. Now, once the panel is in, I needed it to get closer to the metal edge trim to make it flush. I first inserted long stick into the holes on the side of metal frame, and wiggled the stick to move the panel front and flush. I also used painters tape to 'lift and pull front' the inserted panel. (I could have used some kind of suction cup to achieve the same thing..)

I've used these to make a Halloween Façade. They worked fantastic! They stood up to the weather October threw at it (High Winds and multiple rain storms)! They are easy to work with! Screws held it well to the pallets. Only screwed them enough that the head wasn't sticking out. There were no resulting issues. I'll be attempting a pirate ship out of this stuff this year!

I would have loved it more if it was 3/4 inches thicker instead of of 1/2 inc. I just put on top of the walls inside one of the rooms instead of installing inside the walls and it has kept my room cooler. I am planning to buy more in future.

This is very effective for my purposes. At work I have a west facing, single pane glass French door. It’s covered by blinds but still very hot. This worked out well.
