Q:I have a plastic 1-gang electrical box with cracked top and bottom screw holes. So it will not hold the outlet. I cannot replace the box since it is behind tile. Will this Flush-Fit solve the issue? Thank you.

A:  I don't think this will fix your issue. The screw just passes through the ovals on the top and bottom of this flush mount. You still need working screw holes to screw the outlet into.

    A:  No, this will not help repair damaged threads, it is meant to help level and support devices that have no support from the drywall.

          A:  That is a very good question, and the answer is no you do not need to ground the plate. You do need to have an outlet plate, switch plate, or cover plate over it.

            A:  The 999X maintains a ground path with the device yoke, when secured in place, and does not need an additional ground.

              A:  The metal device yoke, will be in direct contact with the 999X, and will complete the ground path.

                        I really like these
                        These work very well. Just be aware that they won't work in every situation. But they are so simple to put on and they are very effective. They work on one gang boxes of course. Will also work on two gang boxes. Sometimes I need just one for a two gang box, sometimes I need two depending on the situation. They also work great on three gang boxes but just on the ends, of course. Sometimes I need one on a three gang, sometimes two. Overall, though, I am really glad to have these handy little guys in my tool kit.
