When connected to a RIDGID wet/dry vac, the 1-7/8 in. shop vac floor brush is ideal for large surface areas and general hard floor cleanup such as basements and garages. The wet/dry shop vac attachment has a bristle insert that is removable and configurable for either a pushing or pulling motion. RIDGID wet/dry vacs also offers other shop vac attachments such as the extension wand (VT1708) for extended reach of hard-to-get-to areas, the dusting brush (VT1701) for delicate surface cleaning and other more niche shop vac accessories. RIDGID has you covered. Pro Tip: Add a RIDGID filter (sold separately) to a RIDGID shop vac to maintain the power of the vac and extend vacuum life. Q:I have an old (15yrs) 16gal wet/dry vac. .. I purchased a replacement 2.5" hose recently and the main connection on top did not fit.. I was too small?? Not sure if I am missing something?

A:  Hello Jimmy1989, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. We are sorry to know you are having problems with the hose of the vacuum. With vacuums that is an old model that have the inlet port on the lid on the vacuum uses a different type of end hose interlock of the vacuum, the interlock that included with the new hoses doesn't fit the older model vacuum. If you no longer have the old end hose interlock we can send it to you at no cost. Are you looking for a bag that can be attached to the exhaust port or a filter bag that can be installed inside the drum as an added filtration aside from the pleated paper filter that comes with the vac?           Attachments are not universal with Rigid
          I have a model WD-4070 and need a carpet attachment with rolling wheels but the one you sell is not compatible with my model. How can this be? Your accessories need to be universal.

          Hello RIDGID Customer, Thanks for writing a review. We have the Carpet and Hard Floor Nozzle Accessory (VT2530). However, you will need to have an adapter to make it work with your WD4070 and that is included on the 3-piece adapter set (VT1755). You may get this through Home Depot stores or online.             Not Bad...not great
            It has a slotted end in the bristles in the front so when you are pushing it on the ground it can go over top of debris which is quite neat but I think the slot would have been markedly better placed on the back instead. It's not intuitive to push a shop vac across the floor like a vacuum, and becomes markedly easier to drag it backwards, unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

This allows you to use the shorter side bristles or the longer bristles when you push or pull. The technique you use will impact the effectiveness of cleaning.               dusting brush bad; other tools great
              i have the standard 2 1/2" hose wand utility wet car nozzles crevice tool floor & round brushes & have to say everything except the dusting brush is great. the dusting brush bristles are too stiff for delicate surfaces; & the brush body is hard plastic
