Home depot site says 19 pounds. I would agree about that with 1 2AH battery.

      Answer This Question

yes but not not stop it takes a while to build up pressure in the tank works great for finishing nailer

      By|May 19, 2020

The Tool is OK. The Batteries are the worst on the Market. Ridgid Customer Support is non existing. Repair and Exchange take up to 6 weeks while your project is on hold. I was blinded by the lifetime warranty.

People that don?t own one and/or haven?t used it, shouldn?t comment. I got this compressor when it came out because of the light weight and portability. I?ve used it with my Ridgid framing nailer, no problems, you just take a shot/two and let it catch up.

          By|Dec 2, 2021

I have used my compressor with fencing nails and finish nails. It is very portable, much quieter than large compressors and runs for a reasonable time on a set of batteries. Best y to have a spare set of batteries.

Hello JJ350! Yes, this Ridgid 18-Volt Cordless Brushless 1 Gal. Portable Air Compressor will pump a tire up and has a 120 Maximum Pressure (psi) rating. Thanks for asking! - Eve

            By|May 8, 2020

              yes but slowly

              By|May 6, 2020

                Yes just not fast

                By|May 8, 2020

Yes it will pump up a tire, a larger tire will take longer but great for a smaller tire. Will run on one or two 18v batteries. Nice to have.

                  By|May 8, 2020

Yes, It is a little slow on tractor tires but I use it often on car and light truck tires.

will this compressor run a roofing nailer?

                      Answer This Question

Although I have not tried myself, I would highly doubt that this compressor could run a roofing nailer. You would need a larger tank and a compressor capable of more CFM than this compressor can provide. It is a fine compressor for brad nailers, staplers, and pin nailers.

                      By|May 6, 2020

It should fire a roofing nailer but would have to run often to replenish. One or two shots will make it start.

                        By|May 6, 2020

Absolutely not! The cfm is too low and recovery time too long

                          By|May 6, 2020

No you will deplete air supply quickly with gal.

                            By|May 6, 2020

No, it's not enough air for roofing gun or framing gun. It's ok for trim

I have the Ridgid impact driver and drill that use the 18V batteries. Will this battery also fit and power this portable air compressor. The reason I ask is because there seems to be more than one type of rechargeable battery in the cordless Ridgid line.

Yes, it should as long as it is the newer style. I have used all kinds, old and new, but as long as it is the same style as what's being produced now, yes.

                                By|Jul 21, 2020

The greater the “amp hour” of the battery, the longer it will last and the more power it will produce. There are 1.5 to 9ah batteries.

Probably not the best choice for large truck tires but it works great to dial in my small ATV tires!

main reason for buying this is the weight factor. I was tired of hauling around a 110 lb compressor for light jobs around the house. It works well with a brad and finish nailer and is light enough to carry 2 around the house. I will be testing a construction nail gun this summer 2 c how it really works. Good to air tires also.

I've used it for airing up tires on an old flatbed trailer and it worked pretty good. These tires were all the way flat too. It never ran out of power and there were 4 tires to air up. I've also used it to put up door trim with an air nailer. Also used it to put down sub-floor and the only downside to this one is it can't keep up if you're going fast like a professional installer. So the answer you seek is a definite "yes it can" !

                                            Great for small jobs.
It is too bad that The Home Depot doesn't carry this compressor any more. I have been using it for a few years now, and I am very happy with it. I use it for trim work, airing up tires, and anytime I need a low volume of air for a project. I have used it with a framing nailer, but after a couple of nails you have to let it catch up. If it is a small project, you can alternate between cutting 2 x 4s and nailing them in.

I purchased this compressor last month in-store at a slightly discounted price. I used to to run shoemold in a 4 bedroom 3 bath house with hardwood and tile floors throughout. This thing did a really good job. I normally use a Makita compressor, but it can be a bit much to tote around. Especially for just running shoemold. This Ridgid unit is really light. The specifications state that this compressor only weighs 19 pounds! When you're performing final finishing work, the lighter you can travel and move around the better. This unit does not take any real effort to pickup and move. And its small footprint makes it easy to work around. One other huge benefit of using this compressor is that you can set it up in the center of the room. This really limited the number of times I actually had to move it, because it was always centrally located. Because there was no cord to plug in, I didn't have to worry about moving it around from outlet to outlet or running an extension cord. The light weight of the compressor also gives you alot more options with how you travel with it in your vehicle. It can literally sit on on the floor, or on the seat, or in the trunk. And technically, if you are working in very close proximity to your vehicle, and you have enough hose, you don't even have to take it out of your vehicle to use it. I use (2) 9.0 Ah octane batteries (which is likely overkill) and I haven't had ANY problems with running out of juice. (I already had the batteries before I got the compressor). If you do trim work regularly and normally tote around a large compressor, this unit can really help save wear and tear on the arms, shoulders and back. Especially on smaller jobs.

Great little compressor for trim and small finish projects. I hate finding outlets around a customer home so this compressor is perfect for just going room to room with a shorter hose (less dragging all over the floor) and gettin the job done. It runs forever on 2) 5ah batteries and has large rubber isolating foot pads so it absorbs some of the noise "drone" that other compressors have. One thing that I noticed is there is no hook or spot to hang your nailer on when you're not using it. I find myself trying not to put tools on the customers floors as often as I can and this would be a nice feature. The compressor also seemed to cycle often (every 10-15) 18ga brads at 100psi. But it does not cycle for long as its a small tank.

I love this little compressor!! Its well built and sturdy, yet very lightweight to carry around. It does not need to plug in to a generator or wall outlet, and it's great for running nail guns or other air tools for 1 guy. I've run finish and framing nailers with it. I've also pumped up tires on the lawn tractor, bikes, etc.. great for repairng deer stands too. I only get about 3 framing nails before it pumps back up, but it pumps up in just a few seconds and has more than enough pressure to get the job done. I recently framed all my basement walls with it. Iv'e owned it less than a month so far, but if it is like all my other Ridgid tools it will be around a very long time. I would not hesitate to recommend it at this point. Just remember, it's small, like a pancake compressor, it won't be good for spraying popcorn ceiling or anything high volume like that. But for what it's intended, it works great! Battery life is a bit on the shorter side if you plan to use it all day, but its definately acceptable for my needs, I can run most of the morning on a pair of batteries.

Great compressor. I do road side service and use it to air up flat spare tires. You'd be surprised how many people don't check the air in their spare. Either way, I have two batteries in mine and it lasts me about a week. Pretty quiet and I can easily move it around in the van. I've had it about a month now and it has exceeded my expectations.

I have a 60 gallon air compressor in my shed and it has been great. With me working over the road a lot, my wife hates using it so I purchased this. She uses it for inflating the tractor tire, her jogging stroller and takes it to my sister-in-law's house to inflate rafts and floats for use on the river. It's been a GREAT purchase and now she can mow the grass while I'm gone instead of the excuse, the tractor had a flat tire. Lol. Thank you Ridgid!!

I use it to adjust tire pressures in my vehicle, inflate stand up paddle boards, and in many other ways. High amp batteries are a must, but properly powered, this little compressor delivers!
