Questions & Answers
Will the diablo blade work on this saw?
Asked by BP November 30, 2020
what is inside the box? can someone list all the items?
Asked by stanly November 28, 2020
In the box you will find the parts and hardware for the cart,Anti-kick back pawls, Rip fence, Blade guard, blade wrenches, miter gauge and push stick.
Can I plug this into a heavy duty extension cord? Like a 25 or 50ft 10 gauge?
Asked by William November 28, 2020
The type of cord should be designated with "WA" or "W" on the cord's jacket. If using 10 gauge you are good up to 100ft on a 12 gauge 20 amp circuit.
Does this saw come with a rip fence?
Asked by Notbobvilla November 27, 2020
Yes, it comes with a removable Rip Fence.

Asked by Jdelliott November 27, 2020
When folded up it is 24" wide, 19" deep and 44" high.
Can you use a Diablo 8 in. x 12-Teeth Stacked Dado Saw Blade on this table saw

I think a 6-1/2 inch dado blade is the largest you can use on this table saw.

Asked by hgpilot November 23, 2020
The saw and cart are 24" wide, 19" deep and 44" high when collapsed. The blade guard and riving knife detach and store on the saw and cart to create a flat surface.
The frame of my stand has bent beyond usability. Where can I get a new one?
Asked by jimm November 22, 2020
The only thing I can think of would be to look on ebay or go to ridgidpower.com or ridgidtools.com, it's something like that.
To pull up their contact # and call them directly and see if you can buy
just the folding stand for your table saw.
what is the hp rating for this saw
Asked by Dan November 21, 2020
This pro jobsite folding table saw has a 3.1 hp motor and runs up to 5000 rpm
How many pounds is this table saw weight?
Asked by Eric November 21, 2020
I can't find any info on the weight of the saw. I am 75 years old and was able to assemble the cart and mount the saw without assistance so I figure it weighs about 60 t0 70 pounds. When it is mounted to the cart it rolls around and can be raised and lowered easily.
I bought a very similar model, R4513, about 2 years ago. I bought the saw because of the mobility and the brand name. Every thing was grate until about 2 months ago. I was using the saw to remove defects from white cedar shingles that I was using for a side wall. The sawdust needed much more cleaning than most woods so after vacuuming the underside, I took off the throat plate to continue cleaning. The plated did not come off as it should. it was hung up on the leveling screws.
After giving up trying to contact Ridged, I went to HD. Customer service said to bring the saw in and they would send it for service.
I did so. I have a Lifetime Warrantee so I was taken back when I needed to pay a small about to have it sent off. The repair took a long time and I was charged for the repair with customer service saying that the repair was not covered by warrantee and I was charged for the repair. No reason was given for the exclusion.
When I got the saw I found that the throat plate was incorrectly installed. The table top had a few small gouges, no big deal.
The fence that was working great would not sit on the table top. I guess something happened in shipping. Since there is not obvious damage, I am hoping that I can adjust it.
In case you did not know, this saw is made by One World Technologies, Inc under license from Ridged.
In summary, this is a very good saw but repair and warrantee are very wanting.
Compared to the saw this one is replacing this one is gold. The saw this is replacing is an old Craftsman probably about 80 years old. I have to get used to using such a new style saw. So far this has been an excellent but I can not compare to anything new. I have a small shop attached to the back of my 3rd car garage. I like the portability, I can fold this up and get it out of the way when I need more room or move it to the garage or outside if need be. The throat plate seems to be a little warped but still usable. I might be calling LSA for a replacement. Overall I like it, it is very useful for me and I would recommend this saw, especially for some that needs to take it places or move it or store it.
Just after the warranty. Expired unfortunately the bearing for the motor seized it seems to me that this bearing is just a little bit too small I have included a picture of the frozen bearing it’s the smaller one.
A few years ago I bought a Ridgid set for my son. He used the driver and drill as a mechanic with a local car dealership. Needless to say, the environment is fast-paced and rough on tools. I recently started remodeling my home, and was able to use some of his tools, namely, the Ridgid driver and drill. I was surprised by the dependability of the tools as there was obvious signs of use without the symptoms I was used to. Until this point I had been going through drills and drivers every 2-3 years either because of burned motors or slipping clutches. I was so impressed with Ridgid and the warranty they provide that I switched brands and purchased my own set of Ridgid tools, which include a multi-tool, driver and drill. So far the pros include:
- Powerful Torque
- Sensitivity of Clutch Adjustments
- Battery Life (4 Amp Hour)
- Available Accessories (Dual Battery Charger w/USB ports and 110V outlet)
- Competitive Pricing
- Warranty (online registration)
Cons? So far none.
I have had this saw for a couple of months now and I am VERY pleased with it. I am fairly new to woodworking and have been using a very old off brand bench top model so this is a BIG upgrade for me. This is not a cabinet saw so expecting perfection is unrealistic. I bought this saw on sale for $349.00 so I feel that it is an incredible value.
Things I love about this saw:
1.POWERFUL. I put in a diablo blade and this thing cuts through hardwood and softwoods with ease.
2.Fence feels HIGH QUALITY and holds true and can be easily adjusted to be square with the blade.
3.I have half a garage so the portability of this saw is fantastic.
4. LSA has been helpful in the past. Nice to know my investment is backed.
5. Soft start is great and feels safer than my old saw.
6. Dust collection is very nice when hooked up to a powerful shopvac.
Things I dont like:
1. The extendable table sags a bit and after reading the manual and making all adjustments, there seems to be no fix for this. (doesn't seem to affect much though for my level of crafting)
2. The plastic gears worry me, but I feel ok about it with the LSA. I am also very careful with my tools. I have been using this for a few months now and its operating very smoothly.
3. Assembly for the stand was a bit difficult. I think the diagrams could be elaborated on.
4. The onboard storage for the fence is cheaply made. Mine broke first time trying to get the fence stored. ( I will be contacting LSA as soon as my product is registered)
I bought this table saw around Black Friday 2019 for 299. After an eleven percent rebate match, I got it for eleven percent less. The first saw that I had, the table top was not flat at all. I ended up exchanging it within 90 days for another one. Running a straight edge diagonal across the table top of the second one (not including the extension), the top was spot on one way and a 1/16 of an inch off the other way. Unfortunately, there is no way to adjust this. The table top on this second saw is MUCH better than the first one though. At this time, I can live with the 1/16" difference on one side. Outside of the table top not being flat, all of the measurement gauges were off by about 1/16" as well. The bevel indicator at 45 degrees is about 1/16 off of the 45 degree indicator line (so it would appear to be at 46 degrees even though you are making a 45 degree cut). If you adjust the indicator, then it messes up your 0 or 90 degree cut indicator line. What's weird about it is every measurement is right on the money until you get around the 44 degree range and that is where that 1/16" starts creeping in. As the table extension is extended, the tape measure built in ends up being roughly 1/16" off as well. The fence was right on and the miter gauge needed work. It wasn't hard to square up using a speed square. The dust collection system works pretty well too when hooked up to a powerful shop vac. I really like the folding cart that comes with it. One of the screw holes was again 1/16" off when securing the saw to the cart. Overall, this is a very good little saw. If it wasn't for being a 1/16" off a little here and a little there (perhaps Creed from The Office is on quality control here) this would have easily received 5 stars from me. However, due to some of these slight issues...that again I can live with - I give it 4 stars. I certainly would not have paid anywhere near full price for it. It is a very good upgrade from my 10" Craftsman Evolv that I paid $100 for 10 years ago. I also love the Ridgid Lifetime Warranty. I have never had problems registering tools for this. The only downside for me is getting tools to a service center. The nearest one to me is about 90 miles away.
Pros: Easy to Install, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, Looks Great, Lots of Features, Sturdy
This is obviously a second or maybe third "generation" of this tool, and has gotten much more sparsely and cheaply made. Every shortcut seems to have been taken. That being said, the steel frame versus the plastic case of the prior generation is an improvement. The arbor nut is even smaller and cheaper.
The saw still accepts a dado stack which is ideal.
The rip fence is OK, and seems better than the last generation. I have not yet figured out the purpose of the built in "mini" fence.
The miter gauge is garbage. Very small and cheap.
Tool storage is very cheaply made, that is, the rubber bands that hold the fence in storage, the cheap plastic storage for the miter gauge, will not last.
The blade height adjustment is very slow. It takes 40 - yes 40 cranks of the handle to raise the blade to full height, and 40 more to lower it. The plastic throat plate is cheap. The 10" blade does not drop below the throat plate with much clearance at all.
The power cord is too short, it should be at least 8 feet. The location of the cord where it exits the frame is poorly located and basically forces you to route the cord under the motor housing. If not, the operator is forced to avoid the cord as is exits out the left side of the frame. This creates a safety hazard.
The increase in the rip capacity is definitely a plus. Absolutely needed to be improved since last generation.
Dust control is poor, nearly impossible.
The height of the saw as it sits on the stand is 1/2 inch lower that the prior generation, and that means that any outfeed table or benches that have been constructed are now too tall to receive the front edge of material being pushed through the saw. This is MAJOR to me. I now have to either alter the saw or alter my outfeed table to work together.
Went from a cheaper table saw to this one, and wow, the mobility, ease of adjustment, it actually being square, and the great fence have made me really enjoy this product. All of the parts are of high quality and it was easy to set up and adjust.
First note my first one was missing pieces, second one's been good so far, mine was square and level out of the box unlike some others, like all table saws if you want precision use a bevel gauge or jig any time you move the blade and double check every so often. The stand is easy to setup and move around , the stop is a lever instead of a key (which i'd lose) which is great. So far I've used it to rip 2x material, make thresholds, end tables, cabinets, shelves and a load of other projects, remember this a jobsite saw which is good for construction and diy projects like furniture .it's not a top end saw meant for production work. For me it fits all my needs, only upgrade I needed was a zero clearance throat plate which I made from some scrap wood...glad I went with this one instead of a small table top model
