Yes, but you will be at the upper limit. 12AWG might be better. Use the url below to check. http://www.paigewire.com/pumpWireCalc.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

Can I use this extension cord for a De'Longhi Pinguino 14,000 BTU? If not, I'll continue to directly plug into the outlet as it is currently set up. It's just not in an ideal spot right now.
Asked by: Casey
You would be walking a tightrope with that cord powering that unit. The DeLonghi Pinguino 14,000 BTU heater/AC pulls close to 11 amps. Stretching that out over a distance of 100 feet on a 14-gauge cord entails a serious voltage drop, which can lead to equipment damage. In addition, the resistance of the cord will build heat; anything else added to the load on that cord -- even a few lights or a phone charger or a laptop -- will edge the thing closer to overheating. Better to go with a heavier cord, if you MUST use a cord at all. (With this sort of equipment, it is ALWAYS better to do it without an extension cord.) Over that distance, I wouldn't consider anything smaller than a 12-gauge cord.

Would this work for the 6 gal 150 psi rigid air compressor?

Asked by: Des
The compressor is rated at 12 Amps, average. This Extension cord is rated for 13 Amps, and would be expected to work satisfactorily in this application.

Can I use this extension cord for my ac.

Asked by: Cinny
I think it is heavy enough. I would check with the AC dealer. I run all sorts of power tools with it

I'm using this particular extension cord outside plugging in from the rear of my house to the tree which is approx. 60ft. away. So far so good, but then again this isn't a major job for this type of cord other than the weather in Chicago at this time.

I wanted a heavy duty extension cord to use with my son's generator in order to keep his refrigerator running after Hurricane Michael destroyed my home. The power was out for almost two weeks. It is a strong well constructed extension cord and the part I enjoyed most is the light up plug. It mad it very easy to find in the dark. I am happy that I went with the slightly more expensive, but better made extension cord. I know I will be using this extension cord for many years to come.
