I only used it outside, but with the splash guard in place there was minimal water spray. I would have definitely give it a try inside, I just didn't have enough room in the bathroom I was working on.

I researched wet saws quite a bit before coming across the Ridgid 8 inch. I was looking for a couple of specific features (plunge cuts, rubber coated tray, splash guard) that the 7 inch and smaller saws didn't seem to have. The 10 inch wet saws tend to all have these features but are at a significantly different price point than the 7 inch saws. The Ridgid 8 inch saw strikes a happy medium on both size and price while having most of the features that a 10 inch saw offers. It also comes with a laser which wasn't on my need list but definitely nice to have. Out of the box, the saw was square and had no issues. The tray glides smoothly and the blade cuts with minimal chipping when adjusting feed speed as needed. I've used it to renovate an entire bathroom, my friend borrowed it to do their fireplace and the blade still is cutting well. It has cut through ceramic, porcelain, marble, and slate with no issues. I didn't think to take any pictures of the saw while it was in use, but I've attached photos of the tile I installed with it. I only used it outside, but with the splash guard in place, there was minimal water spray from what I could see. I definitely would have used it inside if my bathroom had more room to work in. Overall, I am very pleased with this saw and I'm excited that it is backed by the Ridgid Lifetime Service Agreement. The saw stores nicely too with the collapsing stand or for transport.

I used this saw to cut through 2 1/4” pavers when building my patio. Wow! It worked better than I ever would have imagined. The blade has plenty of life left after all of the cuts too.

This wet tile cutter was a great addition to a semi professional workshop for an experienced remodeler wanting a precision sturdy cutter for a new bathroom remodel. It was easy to assemble and the instructions are straight-forward. It cuts beautiful lines and angles, adjusts to the cut, and handles thick heavy tile with a breeze. I would highly recommend it even for the most sophisticated tile work.

This is a workhorse! I'm positively surprised by ridgid quality in general. The separate stand is very useful for storage. Although it would be nice for the machine to take less room while not used and stored long term. Laser is very precise but needed initial adjustment. Blade was not square with the table either but it's ok, manufacturer provides clear instructions and adjustments are relatively easy. Machine makes a little mess right behind the plastic black tray. It would be nice to have some sort of the foldable catcher (like 90 degrees to the tray) so the mess doesn't exit the machine boundaries. If you make the edge cuts - can spit to the right so make sure your catch this with your right hand if don't wanna clean a lot after. Disc provided is ok but leaves some chips on the tile glaze although I did not push hard at all. Overall satisfied, above the expectations, don't regret purchasing.

Picked up this saw for a shower job that required good lines. Out the box- took just a few minutes to get it together. No issues with assembly. First power ( no pump)- motor kicked on and all seamed good. First power with pump - pump motor came on and shot water out discharge. First use on job - Spent 45 minutes trying to get enough water to blade. Found issues with plastic feed line: 1. Packaged poorly and thus putting hard kinks in plastic tube. 2. Whoever installed the line in the saw twisted and kinked the line where it comes into the blade housing. I opened it all up and corrected the bad installers mistakes. RUNS like a champ! Ripped and cross cut 12x24 porcelain white high gloss tiles with face up. Cuts were really clean (see pics). Tried face down and edge chipping was worse. Did a good job for my needs. Only trouble- trying to get 1/8" or 1/16" off ripped tile. Stock Blade seemed bend along edge and not cut, it grinded edge. Picking up a better blade for next job. Overall: I love the slide and plunge ability. I would recommend this saw! I am a Handyman and do lots of tile work.

Beware ! A good saw but feeling cheated. While in the midst of a job my trusty old MK saw of 25 years quit. I had looked at the 8" Ridgid awhile back in the store and as I needed a saw by the next morning I picked one up on the way home, last one at the store. Next morning at the job I opened the box(factory new with banding straps in place) and started to assemble. I was shocked to see the motor and arm assembly was not new ! It was quite dirty with dry slurry all over ! It was used and used a lot! I did not see any indication of it being a returned product nor did it have a refurbished tag on the box. All the packaging was brand new and undisturbed. All the other parts were shiny and new. I was quite upset ! I would have returned it on the spot except it was the only one at the store. The other nearest store was quite a ride from the job I had already lost time at the job so decided to just press on with the work and hope the warranty will suffice if there are any issues.Alas the laser does not project so we will see how that plays out. Overall it is a decent saw, I wanted to downsize a bit from my old 10". And works well, really like the way the carriage unmounts for easy cleaning. The blade wrench holder is poorly designed. I would however recommend the saw. Why 1 star? If I wanted a refurbished saw I would have looked for one, and did not expect a used saw at full price from the factory ! I feel cheated.

bought this thought it was good quality, wrong, laser don't work, 1/2 way through the job started making noise, then the brush keeper popped out and plastic broke (no fixing that) so now going into the junk pile, there goes $400 bucks, also table cuts out of square with blade (adjusted and adjusted just never right) don't waste you hard earned money

It took a little longer to put it together than what I expected. Once together worked great! easy to take apart to clean and cut tile fantastic. I burned out a brand new Ryobi after 5 cuts and had to rent a commercial grade QEP; so far this has equaled the QEP in cut quality. Used it 3 days straight and looking forward to finishing the project. I built houses for several years and tiled floors and bathrooms. Con: still spits water past the extension tray, so using it inside needs a wet area or a back splash, drain-off chute, and catch pan (which I did to keep the saw in the same room as the project).

Worth the price! First time user of tile wet saw. I used a seperate bucket for my pump to only use clean water, my choice.
