Q:My 4 year old 4512 saw is being warranty repalaced under the LSA but the new 4520 only shows wiring for standard 110 outlet. My 4512 is able to be wired 220, which makes a huge difference when under large loads. Can the 4520 be wired for 220?

Great saw, it was easy to put together. I love the saw but I was disappointed that HD doesn’t price match online purchase with items on sale in the store.

School saw
Purchased this as a spare saw for school shop. Needed a unit capable of cutting damp wood or wood which might have an undiscovered nail or staple which would cause the sawstop to snap. So far completely satisfied.
My only co was the assembly procedure could have been explained better. Had to stop, disassemble and proceed more than once.

Great table saw
You have made me a very happy customer and I and more that stoked. I have used a lot of table saws and this one is the best for the value. There are many features that stand out and after fine tuning it, my favorites are as follows: 1. Very clean and precise cuts 2. Low noise level 3. Nailed it on the dust collection 4. Easy to maintain 5. And user friendly to name a few. Thanks for making a great saw.

I was so excited to get this saw into my shop as my starter saw, as I had heard a lot of good reviews. I used it intermittently and lightly for a couple months, cleaning it out after every use and checking bolts every few uses. I had only a little trouble with keeping the fence square, and found I had to make adjustments nearly every cut.
In month three, I ripped 3 sheets of 0.5" plywood into 4-1/2" wide strips, blowing the saw out every couple cuts--and then, my blade refused to move up or down. I thoroughly cleaned out the inside of the cabinet and found that the riving knife guide was warped, causing the slide mechanism to bind up. I contacted Ridgid through their LSA portal and they told me they would send a new bracket, but that it would not ship out until March due to backorder issues.
However, the guide is not the only issue I have. Because I knew I was dead in the water with that saw, I pulled out the guide and straightened it, then tried again to raise and lower the blade only to find that the blade noticeably kicks out of alignment as it comes up. Looking closely, the mounting plate (which connects behind the arbor) bumps into the main trunnion at the top half of its range. If I tried to rip anything at this point, the blade would bind up. Now, If a person wanted to just power through every cut, trying to hold a board as the saw tried to tear it out of his hands, I'm sure that, eventually, the aluminum pieces making contact would wear down and allow the blade to sit at the proper alignment to the table. However, I'm just not willing to do that. That leaves me with a useless tool taking up precious square footage in my shop.
I think that this saw used to be good. The older models used to have a cast iron trunnion with beefier guides and brackets, but at some point, someone must have thought that saving weight and money by making it aluminum was a great idea. Unfortunately, though, that idea turned this saw into a monumentally disappointing oversized paperweight.

Ridgid really messed up with the R4520. There is a bolt that tracks the riving knife that consistently binds, forcing blade out of alignment, and tensioning knob to grind out of position, slipping the belt. There is also a plate that the bottom riving knife bolt glides across that is completely bent out of shape further forcing the blade out of alignment. There are Facebook groups created and dedicated to resolving these issues without ridgid. This saw has been nothing but trouble and an absolute pain. As well, unlike its predecessor, it is no longer dual voltage. I hate this saw, and wish I could return it six Months later. It's nothing but opening the back just to raise the blade up and down while binding, then reposition the blade to true twice a month.

Rear rail alignment
Purchased yesterday. Rear rail bolt alignment is incorrect. Assembly does require some time but is well documented. Quality seems good for the price point. Will see how well their customer service is tomorrow to correct the issue. Team at the Clinton, IA Home Depot were fantastic.

Great Saw
I have been looking at this saw and the Delta one for about 3 months now. After reading reviews for both saws I went with the Ridgid 4520 mostly because it was on sale at Home Depot. I was apprehensive at first because some of the reviews stated there was a lot of issues with assembly and operation. The assembly was not bad at all and the instruction manual was really easy to follow. The hardware packet was labeled very well. I completed the assembly in about 2 hrs and spent about another 30 mins tweaking and fine tuning the table wings and the rip fence. I had to just the riving knife and the saw blade to zero. The first cut I made went very well and the saw performed great. I did have to adjust the rip fence gauge to match the finished width of the board I cut. It was very easy to do. I really like the mobile wheels for moving the saw around my small shop. I am very pleased with my purchase!!

Not worth the assembly!
After probably close to 4 hours of assembly I finally made my first cut almost. About halfway through it smokes the belt cutting a small piece of 1/2” plywood. Off comes the side cover and adjust the belt. Put it back together make a few cuts and try to lower the blade and it’s stuck! Black piece of metal is jammed up into the blade. Try to remove the side cover to see what’s going on and two of the cheep screws strip out. I guess you only get two attempts to remove the cover. Anyways so I’m presently still trying to remove this bracket through the top and it’s pretty much impossible. So I’m stuck with a blade that I can only lower to about 2 inches above the surface. They can come and get it because I’m not taking it apart and surly not building another one!

RIDGID…. 13 Amps 10 in. R4520 Pro Cast Iron Table Saw. With 30 in Rip capacity this saw was easy to assemble all the hardware and easy to follow instructions are included. This saw is totally enclosed and has a fan cooled 3.25HP induction motor with a blade break. The motor at 3450 RPM is very powerful and is Very Quiet. Dust control is reasonable. The feature I like is the Push pedal Caster makes it easy to move around. The Saw is very stable weighting in at 267 lbs. has no vibration and is very sturdy. The Milled and polished cast Iron Table makes for a perfectly flat surface. The included Rip Fence and Miter gauge are both accurate and easy to use. This Saw sits at a perfect height for me and is easy and a pleasure to use. I feel I will get many years of use out of this saw. It is a Great Product.

Excellent Machine
Good value for the money. Plan on a couple of hours for assembly. This is a 2 person lift to set the saw upright during assembly. Saw has lots of adjustments to ensure accurate cuts. Take your time to get the fine tuning correct. Saw is powerful and quiet. Most of my cutting has been on cherry wood with no difficulty. The dust collection works well, however wish the back panel was hinged for easy opening for removal of wood chips.
10 in. 2 HP 120-Volt Hybrid Table Saw with T-Shaped Fence
This hybrid is a selective blend of the bestThis hybrid is a selective blend of the best features of the contractor-style table saw and cabinet style table saw. Like the cabinet saw, it has an enclosed cabinet with 4 in. dust port, heavy-duty cast iron trunnions that mount to the cabinet, and plenty of power (with its 2 HP motor) to easily rip through hardwoods or cut dadoes. Like the contractor-style saw, it's still light enough to move around (it weighs approximately 286 lbs. when fully assembled) and it's easy on the budget. The fence on this machine is also a hybrid of some of the best features we've had on table saws in the last 30 plus years. It has the easy lift-off and simple adjustability of the popular T-shape Shop Fox Classic fence, the rock-solid front locking ability of the Shop Fox Original fence, and the accessory T-slots of the Shop Fox Aluma-Classic fence. To top it all off, this saw features an innovative quick-release blade guard and riving knife system that can be changed in seconds-and it's prewired to run on an ordinary 120-Volt, 20 Amp circuit. Made in an ISO 9001 Factory.View Full Product Description

10 in. 2 HP Open-Stand Hybrid Table Saw
A feature-packed Table Saw for shop ownersA feature-packed Table Saw for shop owners who don't need all the heft and horsepower (and extra cost) of a true cabinet saw. This Hybrid Table Saw features cabinet-mounted trunnions and an enclosed steel upper-stand for maximum dust containment. Despite its hybrid design, cutting capacities stand toe-to-toe with the most expensive cabinet saws in the market and the interchangeable riving knife offers protection for non-through cutting operations that require removal of the blade guard. Also features a serpentine belt and pulley system for smooth and quiet operation with better power transfer than a standard V-belt drive system. This saw is sure to be the envy at any shop or worksite.View Full Product Description
