Q:I just purchased at home depot today March 28th. I purchased based on the reviews. Wow? I can't get the angle set to 90 or 45 degree. I used a digital angle guide and the best I could get was 89.5 and 44.8. Any help or return it?

Answer This Question

A:  I would double check your digital angle guide just to be sure. I’ve have 2 digital angle guides and not cheap ones and they need to be recalibrated pretty often and if the saw does need to be adjusted go to the site suggested in the previous answer

            Assembly Instruction Issues
Alternate assembly procedure for 1 person: 1. Filet the box, folding all 4 sides down onto the floor. 2. Place the cart upside down onto the saw noting the proper orientation. 3. Bolt the saw to the cart using the 4 carriage bolts provided. 4. Tighten all cart assembly bolts to eliminate all loose or sloppy joints. 5. Collapse the cart to the storage position. 6. From the handle end tilt the unit up onto the parking bumpers and wheels. 7. Unlock from folded position and erect saw/cart.

Non-existent warranty for burnt out switch
1 year later, the circuit board for the switch assembly was completely scorched. After sending photos to rigid, their warranty was non existent, unless I drive 14hrs round trip to the nearest service centre to see if the damage could be covered under warranty. Most of my tools are Dewalt, and when one of them failed, they sent a replacement within 1 week. In the past 20 years of owning Dewalt tools, the 20v grass trimmer was the only tool of theirs to have failed on me.

                Good for the price
I should’ve never sold my 2012 ridgid portable saw it was a beast and very accurate but this new one won’t align to 90 and the motor hits and bends the deck! Not happy with ridgid at all. Had to adjust the 90 only to get 88.5, the dust collection hits the fence not letting it miter to 45 when it’s stowed away! I do like the brake and the soft start but ridgid has to do better!

                  Inferior product
Blade does not line up with guide, nor is the measure tape guide accurate. The blade arbor bolt came from the factory so tight, I broke the left blade wrench trying to loosen the arbor nut. Can’t find a replacement wrench, or even a part number on line or in the manual so can’t change dull blade. I’ve owned previous ridged table saws and tile saws. This saw has adequate power, but everything else is made inferior. Frustrated.

Hi There, Thanks for your feedback regarding the RIDGID 10 -inch Pro Jobsite Table Saw with Stand. Please contact Customer Support at 1-800-474-3443. so that we can better assist you. Thanks, RIDGID Canada Team. RIDGIDCanada
I tried hard to like it, but it's not happening
I massively committed thinking this was a steal (I even bought a matching shop vac...) only to realize the "sale" is apparently never-ending. Regardless, while assembling, I quickly realized atrocious quality control - parts not aligning properly, requiring muscle and flexing to secure. Finally I notice a huge warp in the table itself - 3/8" gap side to side. Returned. I couldn't be happier spending "full price" on the DeWALT - incredible build quality, thick materials, and near zero tolerances.

This saw does not cut 90 degrees
I do not know how customer service will be able to remedy this. The saw blade will NOT go to a true 90 degrees ...so truly square cuts are not possible on the saw I purchased. It's approximately .08+" off of 90 degrees over 3" of blade height under the kerf...so about 1 1/2 degrees from a true perpendicular cut. See pictures. Currently I would recommend NOT purchasing this saw if you need square cuts.

1 out of 2 Ridgid 10in Jobsit work
First Ridgid 10 in Pro Job site went together pretty well. Ran the saw a couple times and put it away till the next day. Went out to the garage with great anticipation to find that the saw would not start and run. I unplugged it plugged it back in no good, check power going to it 120 volts 20 amp circuit still saw will not start. Call tech support took 3 hours to get back to me. When they did they said the start button was bad they would have to send it in to get it repaired. The start button was on backorder till September 2022. Luckily I had ordered one directly to my house because the first order online wasn't to show up for two more weeks, It showed up early. Flip the new box over to just pull the saw itself out and test it before reassembling everything. The second rigid 10 inch pro job site has worked flawlessly since and setup adjustments even closer than the first one.

Just amazing in so many ways! A must have!
It’s a great saw all around. Relatively quiet, cuts smooth, has several safety features to prevent kickback (THEY WORK!!!) Shuts off instantly when off button hit in a panic. Very smooth and light to transport on the rolling stand, folds nicely to tuck away in smaller spaces and quick and easy to fold and unfold. The fence is amazing! Very accurate, self levelling and has smaller fence you can flip over for thin cuts in which the blade guard may be in the way of the larger fence. Such as 3/4” thin cuts. I use the hedgehog Featherboard and it’s a life (finger) saver to hold the wood right against the fence. I would but this over and over again, from watching several woodworking YouTube videos you will notice that majority of the people use a rigid table saw even though they may use another brand for all their other tools.

Doesnt hold up to one days use.
I bought this saw and made one cut on the job ripping some ¼" toekick down. Would only run if the power button was held. Took it back and Home Depot exchanged it without any problems. The new saw required assembly of course. The rip fence broke both plastic spring loaded tabs off the first time I installed it on the saw. Its now practically useless. I will be asking for a full refund tomorrow. The Ridgid R4514 table saw is JUNK compared to its predecessors.
