Can you control the ft/lbs of torque?
Asked by CarDiyNoob December 22, 2020Hey there CarDiyNoob, thank you for your interest in the RIDGID 18V Brushless Sub Compact 1/4 in. Impact Driver model number R8723B. While you can control the speed on this Impact Driver based on how firmly you are pressing the switch, the torque cannot be controlled by the user. The torque is automatic. It can use up to 1800 ft-lbs of torque however it will not use this maximum torque unless the driver identifies that it is needed.
