Ergonomical handle design
Picked up picked up this saw in clearance for $85 saw cuts good but the handle design doesn't allow for good push so it's hard to drive the saw while cutting is my only complaint otherwise light on the handles nice I'm sticking with rigid

Ridgid 7 1/4 " 18 Volt Circular Saw
Only used 2 days so far, but compared to another brand, it cuts just as fast. The cutting guide for the blade lines up with the actual cut. With 4 amp hr battery it lasted about 3.5 hours cutting green oak while building a cabin. Put another battery in cut the rest of the 6 hour day.

The worst
I LOVE Rigid products, pretty much every tool I own is Rigid, so it is with great disappointment I write this review. This circular saw is crap. I have yet to get it to cut through something without it stopping, usually only 2-4" into a project. Even if I remove the blade, restart it and place it into the line I've already managed to cut it will jam if not at the same spot but maybe a half inch further in. Ihave literally only managed to get it to finish a complete pass, after many stops and starts, once. ONCE! I've tried holding it at different angles, pushing at different speed/pressure, and now on three different board thicknesses and still the same problem. This thing is garbage, especially for the price. I will now try to sell it so I can aquire a completely new saw. I'm attaching a pic my most recent attempt at cutting a 2x10 board that I tried cutting this morning, but was forced to move to my miter saw which was super fun.

Stops mid cut
This saw sporadically stops mid cut. Very annoying and near impossible to cut anything with it.

Love the toolless blade insertion and removal. Great handle grip and feel. Weight just right solid and light. Excellent compact size compared to corded models. Runs very smooth and quiet. Overall well thought out
Safety guard in front. Has wonderful orbital action or straight. Good vacuum dust removal fitting and dust blower feature. Well placed bright LED light in front of blade. Octane or standard Rigid 18 volt batteries compatible and not included. Base with 15; 30; 45; degree tilt.

Replaced my old 1970-80.Craftmans that I repaired twice.So pleased with the Rigid cordless.Quick change blade.Didn't know what I was missing also smooth cutting less vibration and no cord to get in the way.So much of an improvement. Cuts circles even with angle for a dog food raised eating stand.

Superior jigsaw with persistent, quality performance. Shipping time and customer service were both top notch.
With over twenty years of experience building everything from doll houses to real houses to pole barns, I have an extensive knowledge of power tools and I am happy to report that this jigsaw is a cut above, pun intended.
My wife bought me this jigsaw over a month ago and since then, I've used it to build a princess castle twin bed for my 4-year-old, a bookshelf & a kitchen hutch for my wife. Approximate hours of use so far = 8-10 hours.
My favorite features on this tool are: variable speed setting options that allow for pressure and cutting consistency , comfortable grip and handle, it has a nice weight to it, cordless & portable with no cords to fight, the long lasting battery operation, adjustable orbital action, the ability to lock it on which lessens trigger fatigue, and Ridgid's lifetime service agreement which I love for all my Ridgid tools.
I can't think of anything I'd change really. I am really happy to own this jigsaw and would say it's hands down, the best jigsaw I've ever used or owned.

My New Go To
I have always used my battery operated systems is a backup or a small job tool and relied heavily on my corded systems. this saw what it's 18 volt system large amp hour batteries and octane configuration is a game-changer for me. I was able to complete a 10 x 20 porch without ever unloading my corded circular saw. the promo deal on the octane products where you buy the fast charger the two batteries and receive a tool is not only fair priced but a great deal. the only issue that I have had with this saw is the egress of sawdust. and this is not really even an issue after quite a few cuts due to it not clearing itself of sawdust it needs to be cleaned either with a few blows of pressurized air orabrush. the saw does come with an attachment for a Shop-Vac that you can use I have used both and found that neither mitigates this issue. all that being said I feel it is a small price to pay for the power and longevity the runtime that this provides. the material used in its manufacturing seems to me to be prograde it does not bend or twist when in use. in summary I am very pleased with this product.

I picked this up as my FREE tool when purchasing the Octane 6Ah and the 3Ah combo. I had to build an new pair of steps and some lattice frames for my front porch. This was pressure treated wood that was still very wet from the store. I was pleased with the battery life of the 6Ah and the power of the saw. I only used half of the battery for this project, including a few extra cuts to to my error.
