This combo kit features the Brushless 14 in. String Trimmer, the Brushless Blower, ½ in. Drill Driver, and Impact Driver. The string trimmer has an adjustable 12-14 in. cut swath. It features a bump feed head that accepts 0.095 in. trimmer line which reloads in under 60 seconds for increased productivity. The blower delivers best in class power with 510 CFM and 130 MPH and also features a turbo button for more power. This blower is 84% quieter than gas blowers for a quieter blowing experience. The 18V 1/2 in. Drill/Driver features a powerful motor that delivers 525 in./lbs. of torque and provides 20% faster drilling when compared to the previous generation (R8600521). The 18V 1/2 in. Drill/Driver includes a 2-speed gearbox that provides speed of 0-500 RPM or 0-1,800 RPM. This 18V Impact Driver features a powerful motor that delivers 1,850 in./lbs. of torque and 33% faster driving when compared to the previous generation R86034. Q:String will not load. Followed the directions. watched video on line. No dice. Everything is lined up, string either passes the hole and keeps going, or stops near hole, but wont come out. Been on hold with ridgid for 60min.

Additionally, with line that has been wrapped up on a spool it can be difficult to get it through the holes. You may just have to work with it until you get the line in the holes. I hope this helps! Q:Does this trimmer convert to be an edger as well? I have an older black and decker on that does, but tired of having a mix of batteries and would like to use just my rigid set

Ridgid String Trimmer

My gas trimmer finally went out, decided to make the switch to cordless. This definitely exceeded my expectations. I was concerned the power wouldn't be there, but that isn't the case with this trimmer. Its very light weight, with a ton of power. Even has two speed modes so you can dial it back as needed. I have a few other Ridgid tools so the value with a 4ah battery made this choice easy.

Powerful, lightweight, efficient trimmer

Assembly out of the box was simple enough and took just a couple of minutes. It was not tiring to hold after trimming ~0.25 acres of grass edging or around 25 minutes of time. I'm excited to see how it will perform on longer grass/weeds once the weather warms up here in the PNW.

Arthritic hands prevent me from starting my 2cycle trimmer somedays so this purchase was to make life more tolerable. This trimmer works very well for me. Lower power mode is more than sufficient for average grass and light weed control and the high power mode will actually cut tree saplings. Assembly was easy enough. The only thing I'm not sure of is the joint where the 2 shafts come together. I've tightened the knob as tight as I dare and there is still some flex at the joint. The speed spool for the line is a brilliant idea that has finally come about. Reloading the line is a simple process. I am able to trim my entire property on one 4A battery in the lower power mode. Straight shaft rather than the curved end means a solid drive shaft, rather than a flexible "speedometer cable" shaft which is what failed on the last cordless trimmer we had adn could not be service. The addition of a darwin grip to this (or any!) trimmer makes it very user friendly and takes away the lower back pain associated with trimming. I would recommend this trimmer to anyone, very pleased with it

Blower worked fine. String Trimmer Line Bump feed jammed (line tangled inside). Took a half hour to get the spool off to untangle the line. Tried in vain for a half hour to get the spool back on. Frustrated and disappointed, I returned the whole outfit for a full refund, and bought a Ryobi 40v string trimmer. I'll keep using my gas leaf blower for now.

It’s been working fine. Only for grass and small weeds but is quick and easy. I use my gas weed wacker with ninja blade for the big stuff.
