RIDGID introduces the R860722B 18V Brushless Hybrid 18 in. Drum Fan. RIDGID’s brushless motor technology delivers maximum performance and longer runtime. This Hybrid Drum Fan delivers 4x more airflow (compared to the R860721 18V Jobsite Fan) utilizing up to 4,000 CFM and up to 600 FPM with 6 speed settings. It is up to 70% quieter than the corded competitor and delivers up to 15 hours of runtime on low speed when using RIDGID’s 12.0Ah MAX Output EXP battery. The hybrid feature on the 18V Brushless Hybrid Drum Fan allows the fan to run on any RIDGID 18V battery or any extension cord to keep the drum fan running even longer. It features an integrated cord storage and handle for portability. It also features screw mounting holes for convenience and versatility. The 225° head rotation allows users to direct air flow in multiple directions. As always, this RIDGID Hybrid 18 in. Drum Fan is 100% compatible with all RIDGID 18V batteries. Is this fan so inefficient and terrible that Ridgid needs to spec the fan run time on low using a $328 battery that virtually no one owns? Ridgid, that just makes you look bad and makes me look elsewhere. Also is this a 4 or 6 speed per specifications?

How long will it last on a 4 ah battery
Dear Ridgid, pretty please don't answer with asinine info. You spec a $328 12AH battery on low speed when asked about a 4AH battery. You know very well customers want to use batteries they actually own and no one plans on running this fan on low.

since this fan can be powered by 18v battery or through an extension cord A/C power did you allow the AC-DC converter in the fan to allow for charging a battery while the fan is connected to the extension cord

No it is not possible because it only one power source option of the two to be used at a time: AC power via extension power cord OR 18V battery, not both.
You say tool only. Does this not come with a cord to use right out of the box?
