Why bundle with only 2Ah batteries they're useless with high power applications?
Asked by Keen November 3, 2020As someone who has used cordless tools since the 70's, the 2.0 Ah batteries can handle anything you throw at it. Sure if you push a circular saw or the reciprocating saw too hard for too long it will eventually give, probly due to thermal switch. I used an old 2.o battery in my old ridgid drill today not freshly charged it mixed a bucket of drywall mud into the thin texture I needed. battery still going. I have the 4.0 but its kind of heavy in my impact driver, so I save it for my vac or circular saw. I work in the trades every day and have seen a brand new electric drill burn up in smoke cuz someone pushed it to mix up a bucket of mud. RIDGID rocks.
