RIDGID introduces the 18V Cordless Grease Gun with (2) 4.0 Ah Batteries, 18V Charger, and Bag. This grease gun is capable of supplying a maximum output pressure of 10,000 PSI which provides enough power to push out old, built up grease. The 2-speed design gives users the choice of maximum flow rate or maximum pressure providing job site adaptability. The maximum flow rate of 9 oz./minute also helps complete the job quicker. The preset grease counter dial helps take the guess work out of your next application. The RIDGID 18V Grease Gun features a 39 in. flexible hose and includes a right-angle coupler to help access those hard to reach areas. The grease gun is capable of expelling up to 23 grease cartridges per charge on a single 4.0 Ah battery charge. As always, this RIDGID 18V Grease Gun is 100% compatible with all RIDGID 18V batteries. The Ridgid 18 volt cordless grease gun (tool only-no battery included) was the perfect solution for me when I needed to put grease into the many grease fittings of my tractor and implements. There are at least forty grease fittings and my maintenance schedule suggests greasing each at three month intervals. Using a manual grease gun was a big chore. This cordless lithium-battery powered gun makes it much, much easier and less time consuming. While this grease gun is heavier and larger it makes up for that by being convenient and easy to use. A shoulder strap is included with the tool and also a right-angle adapter to make access to grease fittings in hard to reach or tight areas easier. The flexible grease hose is 18 inches long and can be folded away and snapped into clips on the side of the tool's frame. There is an LED light with its own switch, a safety lockout slide switch, trigger switch and a sliding on/off power switch. A real convenient feature of this grease gun is the rotary control knob that lets you set the number of piston/pump strokes or just set it to manual. When the knob is set for a certain number it will pump that many times when the trigger is pulled. When set "on" it will pump as long as the trigger is depressed. It uses standard grease cartridges or it can be filled by a bulk supply fitting. If you are familiar with manual grease guns you shouldn't have any problems with using this gun. This tool didn't come with a battery so you will need to have a Ridgid 18 volt battery and charger before use. Any Ridgid 18 volt lithium battery will work. I like the 2.0 amp battery because it keeps the weight down. This grease gun is well built, works real well and makes my life easier. It is an excellent product.

This is a review of Ridgid's 18V Grease Gun Model #R860445.
If you pump 500 lbs of grease a year, this may be a great tool for you. For the rest, this is a bulky [but a 'shoulder harness' is provided], awkward-to-use, overly-complex tool using misapplied technology.
It's well-built for sure.
It's is heavy.
You actually need to read four pages of the manual ... when was the last time that happened to use a grease gun?
A 90-deg tip is included.
As for Ridgid tools and their batteries, I've been a heavy user of them since 2014. Have over 20 of their tools. In all that time, I've had one battery die and one tool failure.

I love this grease gun! Everything you will need come in the box except the battery and the Rigid batteries are interchangeable so I all ready have the batteries and charger. This gun has all the bells and whistles so it is simple to use. It has a two speed pump and you can set how many pumps it puts out for every trigger activation which gives you great control and no wasted grease to clean up. The hose is very long and it has a 90 degree fitting you can add for hard to reach zirk fittings. A hand operated bleed fitting to clear air when you put in a cartridge. The plunge rod is marked off so you can tell when it is full when you fill it from an external source. A shoulder strap and a hose clip to keep the stored hose in the hose holder when you are done. This was very well thought out, you will love it too!

Ordered the power grease gun to replace a manual one for greasing my garden tractor and boat trailer grease fittings. The gun comes well packaged and ready for use with no grease included. It has 2 selectable gear settings. The first setting applies the maximum amount of pressure to be exerted into the fitting, and the second is used to maximize the flow. The gun can be set to provide continuous strokes when the trigger is pulled, or can be set to provide a given number of strokes from 1 to 10, 15, 20, 25, or 50 strokes after the trigger is pulled and released. The grease tube is long enough (about 40 inches) to get to hard to reach fittings and can be attached conveniently to the unit when not in use. A quick connect 90 degree fitting is also provided that can also be stored on the unit. I like the ability to apply more or less pressure (so as not to blow out seals), more flow when desired, and the ability to preselect the amount of grease to be pumped without having to hold down the trigger. It even has a rugged strap to carry the gun around your shoulder and a light to assist in finding the fitting in dark places. This is an excellent labor saving tool for the workshop if you have a lot of equipment to keep lubricated.

So I have been looking for one of these cordless grease guns for awhile. For me they are kinda pricey since my days of turning wrenches are pretty much done.
So the opportunity came along to review this Ridgid 18 volt grease gun and I jumped at the opportunity.
I am new to the Ridgid line so when i found out there is lifetime warranty on batteries and tools I feel like i have been missing the boat with the other brand I have been buying.
So about the grease. It seems well built . It has flashlight built in that has a separate switch and is not activated by the trigger. The whip looks about 3 ft. They give you a 90 degree adapter. It also has 2 speeds and you can preset the amount of pumps.
It is a bare tool so you will have to buy a battery and charger or get the kit.
Comes with a shoulder strap which i will never use.
Looks really good. Really well built. Only thing i dont like so far is the bleed screw set up. You have to turn it out quite aways before it works as the air escapes past the threads there is no hole in the bleeder.
I just got it so i cant speak to hiw well it will hold up but i will bring it to work and let some of the techs put it through its paces and see how it holds up.

I should have bought this sooner!
I’ve used the red and yellow brands, this beats them hands down. The variable settings for amount of grease is great! Good battery life. If you have equipment to maintain, highly recommended!!!
