Don't buy Ridgid Batteries, They don't have LSA
Even though they advertise LSA (Lifetime Service Agreement) they DON'T have it. They only warranty batteries that are purchased with a tool, not stand alone batteries. See images, I properly registered them the SAME day purchased and the LSA was denied for reason stated above. Do not buy these if you want a warranty.

These 4AH Batteries Will Last A Long Time
Great 4ah Battery combo that will last a long time of use. Buy 2 of these and you will never run out of power. All the Ridgid power tools used work will with these batteries.

Ridgid has failed us
The older style of this battery was make with a tougher plastic/resin material, they were coated in rubber, and had battery ejection arms inside.
The old batteries would hold the tool in place cause of the rubber molding but since this is 100% plastic they slide all around. Also the older batteries had arms that pushed the batteries off the tool when you squeezed it, no more with these new ones.
All for the same price. Less features, same price, more profit for Ridgid.

Retaining Clips Break
Have had retaining clips break in a year. Poor design, with the hollow circle leaves not enough plastic to hold up. Cost of new batteries is driving me to a different brand. Saws a great saw. To bad they get you on poor battery design.

Love Ridgid, hate the batteries. 1 drop of water and they are dead, bad for someone who lives in Florida. They swap them out, but what a hassle. Started using Ebay batteries which are way more hearty and this charger gives me the best performance out of them.

TRULY UNIQUE AND INNOVATIVE
Ridgid has created an innovative product that is truly multi functional. I am very impressed with the quality and design of this GEN5X Dual Port charger. The ability to charge two 18 volt cordless tool batteries using only one charger is time saving and space saving as well. On its own this charger is really nice but add the other features of this charger and you have a unique charger.
Two USB ports give you the ability to charge any USB compatible device ( smart phones, tablets, etc. ) and two AC outlets in the front of the charger are useful for plugging in other chargers, radios or any other low amperage AC device. This charger also has a maintenance mode/ power saver mode like any of the Gen4 chargers you get with any Ridgid power tool so you can leave batteries on charger to keep them fully charged when needed.
I placed the sequential dual port charger I received in my basement work shop and I plugged my Dewalt potable work site radio into outlet. I have also charged my smart phone when I have forgotten the night before.

Great Charger
This charger is a great way to charge two batteries without having to swap them out on a single charger base. This even has two USB charging ports for phones, cameras and anything that has USB charging ports. This charger also charges both old type and new type batteries alike. The charger also has two 110 volt outlets but they are not grounded so standard extension cords can't be used.
The charger does charge two batteries but they are charged one at a time. In other words once one battery is fully charged it moves over to the next battery. Once charged the charger enters a maintenance charge mode. This is something that other chargers don't always have. The batteries are placed in the charger from the top on this unit. Other chargers have a slant to them so placing and removing the battery from the charger is more of a hassle. You can load and unload this charger with one hand.
The front of the charger has lights that show what the charger is doing and if you have a bad battery.
Overall, anyone needing to charge many batteries during a day, this is the charger to get. I still don't get the 2 prong plug instead of the standard 3 prong…….
