18V SubCompact Brushless 1/2 In. Hammer Drill/Driver (Tool Only)

This is RIDGID’s subcompact brushless 18-Volt hammer drill. It takes bits up to ½ inch. This particular package does not include the lithium-ion battery or charger. I already had three RIDGID 18-volt batteries and charger. All RIFGID power tools come with a lifetime service agreement. This drill is smaller and subcompact, but it performs the same as the regular size model.

Excellent drill! I am super impressed with this drill. It is much smaller than a regular drill of similar torque abilities. When you look at it you wouldn't expect the power that it produces; but it is super powerful. The 2 speeds is very nice to have along with the torque limit settings. I tested this on some concrete and it worked magnificently! Its well built and durable. If this thing had a handle it would be perfect. Mind you, its not your industrial drill, but for average jobs, this will do what you need it to.

This Ridgid 18V subcompact brushless 1/2 inch hammer drill/driver is a qualify product, like all of Ridgid's product line. This really works great when needing to drill into a cement wall or ceiling. You get a lifetime warranty on their products if you register them within the first 90 days. Not many companies give you that anymore. Nice that it comes without the battery and charger as an option, as we already have the Ridgit multi material power handsaw that fits this model drill and uses the same battery and charger.

Another Ridgid quality tool. will do everything. I got it to drill concrete and rocks and itt works quite well' It takes longer to drill concrete and rocks then a Hilti dose, but a lot less money. Good tool for a home owner as it is lighter then regular drills. Can be used for regular drilling and hammer drilling. I'm using it now to install hooks and hang pictures.

I found it interesting that the RIDGID 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless SubCompact 1/2 inch Hammer Drill did not come with a battery and a charger. I guess the vendor tried to keep the cost down and the package small. It does not make sense to me since when you get a power tool and without having the power and it became a waste of time. I end up search online to find the required battery separately. That was with additional shipping costs and more. Based on the spec, this 2-speed, 400 lb of torque drill is more can capable of everyday use. It came with a LED light for use in low light conditions.

Wow! What an exceptional hammer drill. It does what hammer drill/drivers are supposed to do. But I'm most impressed with the not the belt clip, but the bit holder. This bit holder is awesome and I've never seen one that was so versatile. I love that it's dynamic. Great torque. I had no problem drilling or screwing in nails. There is a lifetime warranty that im sure will come into play with heavy use. I am thoroughly enjoying it. I do wish there was a magnet tray.

The Ridgid 18 volt subcompact, brushless 1/2 inch chuck, hammer drill/driver (tool only) arrived quickly, well secured and intact. I ordered it because I have several Ridgid 18 volt tools and batteries and because Ridgid quality has always been good since my first Ridgid pipe wrench in 1969. I like the 18 volt system. The specific feature is the subcompact size. It can fit into tight spaces and still deliver the needed power because it has a brushless motor. I use it in all my projects. The quality is excellent, easy to use. It's working out as planned, I like it a lot.

RIDGID 18V SubCompact Brushless 1/2 In. Hammer Drill/Driver Wow this sub compact drill is great. It has the led light and adjustable clutch along with a belt clip, bit and bit holder they can be installed for either a right handed person or even a left handed person. I tested this drill with a 4ah battery and its full of power. The hammer drill feature works great too I drilled straight through a 1-inch block and in quick form. This drill would be great for the average home owner and on the construction site. I would recommend this drill to anyone.

this is my first time using or owning a brushless drill. i'm very impressed with this Ridged 1/2 inch compact hammer drill. the motor sounds much different when you pull the trigger then that of a brush type cordless tool. . the unit the same size and about the 1/8 to 1/4 less in weight as the Ridgid R86008 1/2 inch vsr cordless drill. the new drill rated at the same spec in torque and rpm. plus has the drill hammer built in to drill holes using a mason bit in cement. the clutch setting the same on both drills at 22. plus a drill setting but this model also has a hammer drilling setting on there dial and both are reversible. but to me this brushless unit seems to run smoother and not because it brand new. the unit has a keyless chuck ,variable speed switch trigger,low and high speed switch,built in led light in the base . I have used it to drill hard 1 1/2 inch oak wood and cement cinder block for testing it was breeze .also driven drywall screws and assortment of other type screws with no problems at all. I used my Ridgid 1.5-AH-Battery also my 4 -AH- Battery while testing this drill. it work just as hard using both and seem just as well balanced. the drill felt well balanced and would be no problem to use all day long . if I could rate this Drill higher I would of given it a 12
