Questions & Answers

HI, my question is, on the nail guns can I use the same type of nails round and clipped head nails?

Asked by: elias
You should use clipped head nails. There are several vendors that sell 30 degree clipped head, paper tape nails. Senco, Paslode and others. HD carries a couple of them.

What angle nails does it use?

I am looking at a Ridgid R350CHE but there is no listing of the angle of the nail used. Will this shoot 30° Paslode nails?
Asked by: Rick
The gun uses 30 degree nails. Paper tape bound is best

3.5 in. Clipped Head Framing Nailer is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Light and Ergonomical Nice gun, light and comfortable to work with. Have had endless problems with jamming, firing double nails and will NOT fire nails into Laminated beams. The gun has been sent in for warrenty work to fix the problems but came back and still does not perform well. I have used an older model and works flawless, nothing but trouble with this one... hopefully this is just a one off issue.

They have been dependable and durable. My only issue is that the Home Depot web site said the gun came with a bag, but it did not. I called Ridgid and they said that they didn't have those bags anymore and that it was a Home Depot problem. The HD web team had me order a second gun to see if it would come with a bag - no joy.To their credit, my local HD made it right by comp'ing me a tool bag that the nail gun would fit in. Actually a better bag than the gun would have come with. So I am happy with the gun and Home Depot...........

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect for home reno work I bought this framing nailer for a home reno project, picked this one because it was priced well for this type of nail gun. We have had no issues with it and feel like it was the perfect combination of price and function. No jammed nails, not as heavy as other framing nailers I have used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rigid Full Head Framing Nailer I like the nailer because it's light and strong even the air copresor is set to 90 psi only. Also the waranty of rigid is life time compared to others you have to buy extended warranty. The color is very nice because you can see you tool right away in the distance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great nailer good price I started working with my brother last week and bought this after half a day driving nails by hand, it is a life saver it was 0 or 1 degree today depending on the thermometer you looked at, it took awhile to get our compressor going but once it started the nailer was going at it problem free. It has worked great the 2 days I have used the only draw back to the gun is that it will not feed the last 3-4 nails and that is the ONLY reason it got a 4 instead of a 5. My brother is used to hitachi, but he agrees with me this is a GREAT nailer. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nailer, It works great and is very simple to use, and affordable.
