It's one tool for many situations. Forged alloy steel makes the RIDGID telescoping basin wrench tough, and its spring-loaded jaws flip easily into position while the tension plug maintains the head at up to a 90° angle. The sturdy, well-positioned transverse handle offers the leverage required to for fast ratcheting with one hand.

How do I get the wrench head to pivot?

Asked by Andrea February 8, 2014

Answer

This head should be able to swing 90 degrees in either direction by simply moving it to one side or another. The tension plug just provides enough tension on teh head assembly to hold it in the desired position. If you are not able to move the head at all by your description above it would be best to take the product back to the place of purchase to have it returned for warranty evaluation or contact our Customer Service Department and have them issue a return goods authorization number for the item to come back to the factory. They can be reached at 888-743-4333. Thank you RIDGID

Does the job exactly as expected. Getting the spring activated head to attach to the faucet nut can be tricky but a little patience is all you need. The telescoping length worked great for my application giving me more space to do the job. Great for DIY person like me.

When it comes to plumbers tools there is only one brand I want to work with. I feel a sense of pride working with my Rigid tools as generations before me did as well.
