My vacuum started making a very loud noise when it is turned on. Just started doing this. Not sure what to do. It is so loud it hurts your ears. Any suggestions?
My cordless Ridgid vacuum started doing the same thing. After going back & forth via email with customer service, sending numerous photos, my claim was denied. I appealed based on no abuse or neglect on my part. They finally agreed to cover the repair under the warranty & my unit was determined to have a defective motor bearing. They replaced the entire unit & I haven't had the same problem since. However, due to Ridgid being so difficult to deal with when issues arise, I have begun to phase out all my Ridgid tools.

Uses the orange battery and it a bit of a power hog, so the bigger the better. If you are starting from scratch, get the simultaneous dual charger with batteries
I initially tried the 2.0 amp batteries but the run time is pretty short, like 8-9 minutes. I picked up a twin pack of 4.0 amp at that seems to work well. So anything north of 4.0 amp seems to work, keep in mind I’m not vacuuming the house but more spot cleaning etc.

I am trying to register this shop vac i just bought and it keeps kicking me out of registration when i use the model number WD0319. But everywhere i look this is the correct model number.
The site to register your vacuum is not the small tools site but rather their other site that deals with vacuums and commercial plumbing tools. Call customer service and they will direct you. And yes you have the right model number. Good luck

How does the 3501 dust bag attach to this vacuum? It doesn't appear to be possible despite customer service and the description both stating that it is compatible with dust bags.
Hello dgatldg, Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the VF3501 is compatible with WD0319 model. We recommend that you follow the instructions below. 1. Push the cardboard cap into the bag before trying to install onto the inlet. This will punch a hole in the paper and make inserting the bag over the inlet easier. 2. If necessary, insert the rubber gasket over one side of the split inlet and then the other. This will make getting the inlet into the bag a little easier. 3. Push the cardboard collar all the way forward against the drum, making sure the rubber gasket moves over the single rib that is present on the inlet port.
