Poor craftsmanship
First one was repaired, then it started smoking the exchange process is a pain waiting for repairs sucks and for some reason I bought it again and now started smoking in the middle of a job. Buyer beware do not buy this trash.

Great Router and Sander
This is a great palm router and the 1/4 sheet sander. I used the router to build a router table after it was delivered and build some small wooden boxes with finger/box joints. With 1/4" spiral bits, the router easily handled increasing 1/4" repeated depth cuts to hollow out 3/4" grooves for flush mounted work clamps and miter track in plywood. The sander was used to smooth out the edges with little effort. I plan on using this Ridgid router to complement my larger router for many projects ahead.

Ridgid 1/4 sheet sander
I bought this sander because I have other rigid power tools and they are a quality product. However the pad on this sander wore out on the very first day of use. Very disappointing! :(

Routing binding channels
after investing hundreds of hours in the construction of a guitar, one of the final nerve racking tasks is cutting the channel for the purfling and binding...it has to be perfect. I use this router exclusively for routing binding and purfling channels on guitars and ukuleles-light powerful, the micro depth adjust and speed control are invaluable in cutting accurately. I use it in conjunction with my binding jig. Great little machine.

Great little trim router and sander combo. The combo was actually less money at Home Depot online than only the router in-store price. Used the router to cut out the backdrop from 1/4" plywood for my metal eagle display. Just followed the outline of the display using the round base that come with the router and a 1/4" straight bit.

This router worked amazingly for it's size. The adjustable speed is extremely useful, and the few attachments it comes with will help cover almost any project you may come across. I used it to cut out two large diameter holes for dog bowls to sit in, and then to router out some material for my Bloodwood inlays. Nothing too extravagant, but thisthis router powered through it all like butter. Not once did it show signs of bogging down. I love this product!
Oh, and we already had a disc sander, so the fact that we got a flat sander thrown in to the deal, and the was an amazing deal!

Great for finish work
I love this router, it's great for taking a project to the next level. I use mine alot to finish off some cnc work. Basically the 1/4" round over bit almost never leaves the chuck. But I have alot used it for flush cutting laminate, and even countersinking hinges into new door jams. Its a one handed tool, so the other hand is left free to brace material or move clamps. The build in LED is great for tight spaces. This thing is a must for finish work.

This was a great deal as I was originally just looking for a trim router but also knew I needed a sander (which I had been putting off).
Both products arrived well packed and with enough accessories to get started using them out of the box. Neither was a refurb unit as I had feared- both were brand new. I used the trim router to cut some hinge mortise (my other 2 routers are too big & heavy)- this one was easily controllable and the light really helped. I also liked the included square base plate as I needed that to span my mortise template- the round base was too small for support. I didn't know I would need the sander for this project but the replacement door frame was a tad too big for my 2x6 framing, so I used my belt sander to take down the bulk of the frame but the square 1/4 sheet sander proved useful to get in the corners and next to the door stop and for final smoothing. I was happy I had selected this offer.
Looking the tools over I feel they are really well made with several convenience features. The only thing missing to make this a complete package is a tool bag for storage.
I recommend when shopping for a trim router you look very close at this deal as the sander is free (not available in the store- just on line).
