Ridgid always offers solid, well performing tools and this blade is no different. Has really nice size and eight to it and you can tell it will last for a long time on any jobsite. It fit snug in my grinding tool and I got right to work. The cuts are clean and easy on both block and brick, leaving a nice smooth face on the material. It performed very well and in skilled hands and without unnecessary abuse, this blade will more than return it's value to you.

I have an older 4" rigid masonry disk that has been wonderful for brick work, but fights me a little on concrete work. I noticed this 5" model uses a different design so I got it in the hopes that it would work better on those cuts, and so far it has lived up to my expectations. This newer design has channels cut into the blade in a rotational pattern. If you're looking at the profile of the blade it's not a smooth surface, it zig zags back and forth across those channels. When I finished a cut I noticed there was a lot less dust in the channel, I suspect it is because of those channels (working like tire treads do to move wick water away). The cut also felt smoother/easier to make, but I'm not sure if that's due to less dust and friction or just a by product of a newer blade. All in all I'm very impressed and I like the new design better than the old.

This 5" Ridgid Diamond blade is excellent for cutting a variety of concrete, brick, blocks, pavers, roof tile, etc.
The turbo rim design makes for a nice fast and smooth cut. The diamond engineered blade keeps the distribution of particles less and allows for faster continue cutting. I usually cut tile and pavers most, so this blade is excellent. It advertises that you can use this blade with or without water, so it is very universal. The blade is thick, so it cuts smoothly and aggressively. It states that it has up to 3 X longer life and is up to 40 % faster. Faster yes, but I will need to see if it lasts 3 X longer than the other blades I have used in the past... I was very pleased when using this blade.

Ridgid is a good and reliable manufacturer and this masonry blade is excellent. We used it on several masonry block to round the corners and it was fast and quick and easy to use. Appears very durable and fits our saw perfectly. The diamond edging seems to help cut down on a lot of spray/bits in the air as it cuts so easily and very fast. Of course, always wear eye protection as well. We will be purchasing 2 more of these for our project. Good product.

The Ridgid 5 inch Turbo Diamond Blade is engineered to cut Stone, Brick, and Concrete Blocks (in my case), but likely capable of cutting other similar material such as Pavers and Root Titles. The manufactory’s claim in terms of durability states that it’s capable of maximum cutting performance (which I can confirm in our use of the product) and 3x longer life than standard abrasive blades (not personally confirmed yet). Comparability prices against its competitors (Makita) at around $30. I have been testing/using my Diamond Blade with the new cordless DeWalt grinder rated at 9k RPMs. I mention that because the blade is rated at 12 RPMs. Its important not to exceed use of the blade above its rated RPMs. Another tip – always run the blade for about a minute before cutting any material and always cut your material in a open and well ventilated space because it creates a lot of fine material dust. Try not to overheat the blade otherwise it will have an impact on the quality of your cut. It should go without saying but I will.. wear protective gloves and eye protection with each use of the blade. The blade as I mention is 5 inch with 7/8 in. arbor, but also comes with 5/8 in. and 20 mm adapters.
